One of the best corner backs not to be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame, in the 1960s, Boyd had a great keen eye for the ball and in only 9 years with one team the Baltimore Colts, Boyd intercept 57 passes for 994 yards and return it for touchdowns 5 times, in 5 straight years 1964 to 1968 he was all pro. In those years he helped led the Colts to 4 playoff appearances including the infamous Super Bowl 3 which happened to be his last game ever. His 57 interceptions is tied for 13th place in the all time NFL list of interceptions.
