Dude in pokemon red&blue James attempted to eat magikarp but failed, kicked him in the water, and there goes James appetite. Also magikarp then evolved into Gyardos and chased the pokemon crew. There, magikarp is NOT EDIBLE

It's typing consist of water & flying, or from its mega evolution form, it has the typing water & dark.
