Top 10 Denver Broncos Players Coming Into the 2019 Season
Previously I did the Chiefs best players. Now let’s look at Denver. The Broncos are looking to Rebound from their mediocre season last year. They haven’t made the playoffs since Peyton Manning was still playing and won Super Bowl 50.Was there any doubt? Von Miller has made a name for himself for years now recording 10 or more sacks in every season outside of 2013. He’s a phenomenal player that offensive lineman need to know where he is at all times. He has the most career sack in Broncos history and he’s only 30 so expect him to have at least another 5-8 years left
Chris Harris has proven that he’s one of the top cornerbacks in the league. He has one of the highest coverage grades that only few can match. Expect to see him be a top free agent after this year as he might be on a new team in 2020.
Sanders has been a great offensive weapon for Denver these past few seasons and despite inconsistent quarterbacks over the past few years he’s still managed to produce 868 yards and 4 touchdowns off 71 receptions. He did suffer an injury cutting his season short last year but assuming he comes back healthy he’ll be just as good as he was before
Lindsay shocked the league last year as an undrafted running back. He finished with 1,037 yards and 9 touchdowns which isn’t bad at all. I have high expectations for him going into 2019
Denver got lucky he fell into their lap last year in the draft. His rookie season went pretty well as he racked up 12 sacks which is decent for a rookie. Being paired with Von Miller helps. I expect big things from him in year 2.
Jackson is one of the most experienced players in Denver’s secondary with 558 tackles and 16 interceptions in his career up to this point. I have a feeling he’s going to be just fine under Vic Fangio
Elway seems to have found his next quarterback in a veteran from Baltimore. Personally I’m not buying the hype but he could do well with a few options on offense including Phillip Lindsay, Courtland Sutton, Noah Fant, and Emanuel Sanders. He’s proven that he’s capable of winning big games one against Denver actually but does he still have the talent? He got ran out of Baltimore by rookie Lamar Jackson last year.
Harris is good at stopping the run which is an area the team wasn’t great at and is playing with a chip on his shoulder after apparently almost getting cut by Denver. The Defensive line is solid
Sutton had himself a decent rookie campaign last year. While he was overshadowed by Emanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas at first he eventually saw the spotlight after Thomas was sent to Houston and Sanders went down with an injury. He has a lot still to prove but if his rookie campaign was any indication Denver fans will like this guy
