Got my friends in the US hooked, my friend still clings to me every time we watch the Red Woman one thou, although it does give me the goosebumps just thinking about it...

The show is centered around Light Yagami - a promising highschooler and aspiring detective with a strong sense of "justice". The amount of intelligence thrown around by characters in this anime is absolutely brilliant. The complexity of characters could've been enhanced though I feel by giving everyone something to hide. meaning some crime that they have committed etc. But L was absolutely brilliant
