Detroit Lions Preseason Game Analysis: Week 1- Patriots vs. Lions

On this day August the 8th of Thursday football is back, and we have a rematch from last year of week 3 in The Patriots vs Lions. This rematch would end up like a pretending tease. Instead of just scouting my own team how about we also give credit to what the Patriots did effectively.

Players who were Terrible

David Fales (QB) DET
Well when you see a quarterback with a last name like ''fails'' that ain't a good look. He was terrible for the most part got one decent pass towards the end of the game when it did not matter just terrible he could not even stop the guy who intercepted him.

Jamal Agnew (CB) DET
Yeah the punt return specialist was playing corner as well, and he was beat pretty good against the rookie Harry eating em up real easy.

Tyrell Crosby (RT) DET
I mean I could go with anybody else on that offensive line, but Crosby needs to show me if he is gonna be the guy to step up in case of Rick Wagner having regression this does not look very prominent to look at. He let opposing Defensive Ends get to him real good as both Fales, and Savage took a beating.

Amani Oruwariye (CB) DET
Back to back 5th round picks had a tough day, and Amani is gonna be a backup as it seems to be knowing the Lions did not play all their starters (smart move). Oruwariye was straight up awful against these no name receivers. Maybe he'll get better, but right now lot better coverage to work with.

Players I was Impressed by

N'Keal Harry (WR) NE
Although he got cramps I hope I loved what I saw outta upstart rookie N'Keal Harry swallowed up Jamal Agnew like a dominator he was on the field.

Jakobi Meyers (WR) NE
I have never heard of this guy at all. Look out for this guy he's undrafted, and he just made a strong impression owning that Lions secondary like literally all game snaps he had. Meyers was everywhere on the field he was almost untouched.

Chase Winovich (DE) NE
My man from U of M put a can on the Lions O-line making them look inferior. Winovich looked exactly how he looked in college quick underneath sack to Fales that still transitions into Belichick's defense, and he'll step up given anybody who gets hurt upfront.

This game was brutal, but I cannot help but laugh, and be thankful of our 1st team players were not on the field I mean you could of saw Matthew Stafford, and Damon ''Snacks'' Harrison potentially could of been hurt in two situations seen in the game with Tom Savage and Darius Kilgo going down along with Jermaine Kearse most likely will not take the field this season. Just a lot of injuries in a blowout pre-season game that New England was just great on both sides of the football. At least with New England I was more impressed by their young talent in comparison to the miscommunication I witnessed that night. I mean you got three points at the very end of the game yikes. Now its nothing to worry considering that's not what there gonna look like yet (I would hope... not!) Lions passing defense was so bad that Brian Hoyer looked like he was having fun on the field only missing two passes. Final score Patriots 31, Lions 3.
