Most Disappointing Final Bosses In Video Games

The Top Ten
1 Lucien - Fable 2
2 Old McBoggy - Worms Revolution

Preform a airstrike on the 2 water bottles above him, and then he floats into the ocean water.

3 The Destroyer - Borderlands

It SO easy and not challaging! At least the warrior from the 2nd game was better.

Do I need a reason?

4 The Joker - Arkham Asylum

I don't absolutely hate this boss, but the fight was just disapointing.Joker injects himself with toxin and becomes...a giant white-skinned clown with a green mowhawk? Quite unfitting for the Joker... Well the design isn't why he's disappointing. It's the fight.Half of the fight is fighting his goons while he watches you.He barely even attacks you! I mean if you make a big bulky toxin-injected Joker, shouldn't half of the fight be brute combat?!

It ruined the joker, enough said.

5 Rodrigo Borgia - Assassin’s Creed 2

This boss failed in every way, the first part with the clones was terrible as they did nothing, there was no music, the fistfight afterwards was stupid, there was no challenge, the ending scene in the animus sucked, and to top it all off, YOU DON"T EVEN KILL HIM. this last fact is especially bad as this game is about killing those who wronged you, but the person who was the worst is the only one you spare. This boss failed so much on every level.

6 Aurora Unit - Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
7 Necron - Final Fantasy IX

The fight is OK, but HE COME OUT OF NOWHERE, also if you beat him, he is NEVER mentioned again.

8 Fontaine - Bioshock

What is this, A stoned juiced hulk?

9 Gary - Bully

It's kind of to be expected that Gary's a weak boss. He's a schemer, not a fighter (like you are).

I like this game! But the final boss, should have been longer:(

I expected Gary is a powerful boss, but I beat him up easily

10 Bowser - Super Mario Galaxy 2 Bowser is the main antagonist of the Mario Bros. Franchise. From kidnapping Princess Peach to simply destroying a fun game between Mario and Friends in the Mario Party spinoff series, this king of the Koopas has set up a certain hatred towards himself amongst the large cast of Mario Characters. He first appeared in the 1985 popular videogame, Super Mario Bros., in which he was responsible for kidnapping Princess Toadstool (more commonly known as Princess Peach), which was released in Arcades and on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) Videogame System.

A disappointing boss, for such an awesome game

All you do is it the yellow meteors into him.

The Contenders
11 Dr. Neo Cortex - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back!

This boss lasted a minute, it is very hard to lose and he is beaten in 3 quick hits. Expected better

12 Dark Nova - Kirby: Squeak Squad

Really? A one-eyed dark star?! That's the final boss?! Dark Daroach was awesome, but Dark Nebula just didn't live up to the monster it created of Daroach's corrupted dark form. Come on, Masahiro Sakurai. Is that the best you could come up with?

13 Athetos - Axiom Verge

Did I ever tell you the DEFINITION of damage-per-second race?

14 Gnasty Gnorc - Spyro the Dragon Gnasty Gnorc is the main antagonist of the video game Spyro the Dragon released for the original PlayStation.

Now this is beyond true. Plus, how was K.Rool from Donkey Kong Country 1 a disappointment? Now in the third game, I can understand.

Not such a great boss as he just runs when you get near him.

15 Purple Man - Five Nights at Freddy's 3

All you do is make him run around the room until he gets into Springtrap's suit and he dies after that, very disappointing.

16 The Enchantress - Shovel Knight

She is a joke when compared to the boss rush that comes right before her.

17 King K. Rool - Donkey Kong Country King K. Rool is a fictional anthropomorphic crocodile and the main antagonist of Nintendo's Donkey Kong video game franchise, as well as the archenemy of Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong.
18 Undead Core - Cave Story

It isn't the REAL final boss though.

19 Asgore (Genocide Route) - Undertale Asgore Dreemurr is a boss monster and the king of the monsters in the 2015 RPG Undertale made by Toby Fox. Asgore is the portrayed main antagonist who plans to acquire seven human souls and use their power to break the barrier that seals the monsters underground . Aspects of his character are hinted at throughout the players journey and his fate at the end of the game is determined by the choices the player has made.
20 Asriel Dreemurr - Undertale Asriel Dreemurr is a character from the 2015 game Undertale. He was created by Toby Fox.

Asriel is the child of King Asgore Dreemurr and Queen Toriel, but he seemingly passed away prior to the game's events. His backstory is only focused on in the True Pacifist Route, which means the player does not kill a single character. As a young child, he was a close friend of Chara, a human child who... read more

Perhaps in difficulty, but definitely not in the FEELS department ;(

21 Prince Charming - Shrek the Third

Very disappointing. He doesn't even fight back! Not to mention that when you hit him once he is done!

22 Wily Capsule - Mega Man 7
23 Saddler - Resident Evil 4
24 Ganon - Link: The Faces of Evil and Zelda: Wand of Gamelon

This was a bad boss but a game this bad couldn't really disappoint with a bad final boss.

25 Gum Monster - Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures
