Does it matter? Why is it that reputation is heavily emphasized in the site? You're here to make lists, not crave popularity.

This hasn't happened to me yet, but I don't know why I get followers in the first place

This sucks, I have seen some lists that should be featured, but are not

I'm the one who usually does it out of guilt, but then again others do that method too so whatever I guess if there fine with it I shouldn't bother back at them.

That's why you don't tell people your making a list that your going to make.

I’ve never had this happen, but I did make half of the initial list for a certain list for a certain user who never gave me credit for it...

My list of reasons why the Ice Age sequels were great got so much hate for some reason, just because I prefer them over the original does not mean they can insult me (looking at you VGF5)

All of my four latest movie reviews took a while to make but nobody didn't reaslly seem to care about them, and then posts I made that were called "Rate Me" and "Ask darthvadern", but pretty much no one is caring about them, what's even worse is that other users always get so much questons and ratings on their posts...

Yep that's me multiple times I make many series episodes, but half the time my audience is widely inconsistent from getting a ton messages to diddly squat shown day after day.

I personally don't care about this one too much, after all, I mainly write my posts as a hobby, and if anyone reads them, then even better.

I'm not really that concerned about attention. I just make lists because I enjoy expressing my taste in some form.

That's kinda your fault for not setting the list self-moderated if you don't want your list to be vandalized.

Then you counter it by ruining there plans, and get 20+ users to fix the ugly into better cleansed.

As long as people giving you constructive criticism, people saying your post isn't that good is actually a good thing, as it can help you improve your content

I made a list one time, and someone did the exact same thing except about a certain genre of music and not just in general, and theirs got featured!

Unless the user messages you of the situation all is forgiven peacefully.

This is the main reason why I don't make lists before. But now, I already made 7 lists. 6 community lists and 1 self moderated list.

Yeah that's a bummer for me. Best way to counter this is simply make a remix based on that list

Yeah you gotta put filler items even if you fully can't digest into what to put into them still throw them in there for the sake of it.
