At first in the series, he seemed like a greedy man who only cared about money, but in the finale he proved that all he ever cared about was his family. When Bill even said he would give him anything for Stan to keep him from destroying Bill and his plans, Stan refuses, saying before his memory was completely erased, he says 'I guess I was good for something after all.' Even after he spends 30 years trying to get his brother back without a thank you, he still gives up everything to save him and his niece and nepew. I think that's what makes him the best Disney hero ever.
