Top 10 Best Disney Love Stories

It's Valentine's Day! The most romantic day of the year! Just because I hate this holiday doesn't mean I shouldn't make a list to celebrate it! Here are the best Disney love stories!
The Top Ten
1 Beauty and the Beast

Beauty and the Beast is an absolutely perfect love story! Who knew a girl could fall in love with a beast? When Belle first meets the Beast, she didn't really want anything to do with him. I don't blame her since he kind of acted like a jerk and locked up her father. But eventually, she was able to see the good in him and she started to have feeling for him! These two characters, soon to be ruined by Emma Watson and Dan Stevens, have a real connection! The ballroom dance scene really emphasizes it! I really hope the live action film will be this good! Too bad Emma Watson can't act!

Because a teenager falling in love with her captor who yells at her and also happens to be a buffalo is SO romantic. What a great message for young girls! Beastiality and Stockholm Syndrome are somehow okay. And even in the 2017 update, the heroine still ends up with that abusive buffalo!

The message to young girls: A girl can always change the man with TRUE LOVE!

Nice choice for number one! But there is something about this film...Belle fell in love with the Beast; she fell in love with who she had become used to. She must have been so disappointed when he eventually turned into a skinny thing with long hair and a higher voice.

Just thinking about it I'm just like "sigh. Love..." oh what?! Sorry lost my train of thought. Jk anyway, this love story has a message, and that is...look at inner beauty as well as outer: be different. So yeah...

2 Up

Here come the tears. Basically, the movie is about Carl Fredricksen taking his entire house to Paradise Falls to make his dead wife happy. That is so romantic! The scene that everyone seems to talk about in this movie is the Married Life scene! We see what Carl and Ellie did when they got married! But unfortunately, Ellie passed away. A lot of people claim this as the saddest moment in Pixar history. Ellie's dream was to go to Paradise Falls! Carl didn't want to let her down, so he took the house and flew to where she wanted to go! If he has the house with him, it's like Ellie is still with him! Even though Ellie passed away, he still wants to feel like she was never gone! Pixar has always made such emotional movies! This is definitely one of them!

3 Lady and the Tramp

The first time I watched this movie was at Disneyland a few years ago when they were showing it in honor of Valentine's Day. This is such a romantic film! The best word to describe it is "adorable"! Two dogs falling in love is literally the most adorable thing ever! And of course we all know about the famous spaghetti scene! They even end up having kids at the end! One of the kids was even the main character in the sequel, but let's just pretend that sequel doesn't exist. Lady and the Tramp is something that a lot of people love and is one of the best Disney love stories!

It was a little too cheesy for me

4 The Lion King

The Lion King! One of the best Disney films ever! Simba and Nala started out as just friends when they were kids, but when they got older, they realized that they wanted to be more than just friends! They're relationship is a little underdeveloped but we can still feel the connection between them! It just feels perfect! My only problem though is that they aren't given a very good love song. Can You Feel the Love Tonight is kind of dumb and the lyrics are a little cheesy. But the Lion King is still an excellent love story about two lions falling in love even though they are secretly siblings! Wait, what?

5 Aladdin

Only one more year until the Aladdin Broadway show comes to Los Angeles! Anyway, the romantic story of Aladdin and Jasmine is very magical! And I mean literally! To this day, A Whole New World is still one of the best scenes in Disney history! That scene was when Aladdin and Jasmine really started to fall for each other! Even though Aladdin was lying to her about being a prince. Either way, Jasmine still liked Aladdin for who he really is and they end up getting married! Jasmine isn't like other princesses! She doesn't care about royalty! She wants a guy who truly likes her!

6 Pocahontas

I'm one of those people who sometimes has to watch a movie twice to determine if a movie is good or bad. I did that with Hercules, I did that with Cars 2, I tried to do that with Mulan 2 but I turned it off within the first 10 minutes while watching it a second time. I used to think Pocahontas was bad, but after recently watching it a second time, it's bad! But at least I appreciated the relationship between Pocahontas and John Smith a little more! I felt like it was very well done! With the help of great animation and great music, it makes it an excellent love story! They're communication is a little bland though. But not as bad as Anakin and Padmé in Attack of the Clones. And the way Pocahontas learns English is kind of a deus ex machina! I mean, come on! She learned English from THE WIND!

7 Tangled

I almost forgot to put this on the list. In the movie, Tangled, Rapunzel and Flynn have a really great relationship! It started when Rapunzel forces Flynn to take her to see the lanterns. During that beautifully animated scene where all the lanterns are floating, we see that they have gained feelings for each other! It happens in such a romantic setting so it's perfect! Flynn later on manages to save Rapunzel which shows that he really cares about her! I'm really excited for the Tangled T.V. series!

8 The Princess and the Frog

Princess and the Frog definitely doesn't get the attention it deserves! Tiana is one of my favorite Disney princesses! Tiana started out as an ordinary girl who had a dream about owning her own restaurant. But then her life changed when she met Prince Naveen! After Naveen unintentionally turns Tiana into a frog, they go on this adventure together and start having feelings for each other! Tiana and Naveen are completely different from each other but they still manage to make a great couple! It's great to see that after hating each other, they start to like each other! Something that has become a thing in Disney movies. Tangled, Wreck-it Ralph, Frozen, Zootopia, and Moana did this too. It's become a little cliché but I still kind of like it.

9 Enchanted

Enchanted is very underrated! The reason I put it on the list is because it's not like other princess love stories! It's about a princess who ends up in the real world and meets a normal guy while her prince tries to rescue her. While she hangs out with the guy she meets in the real world, they get to know each other a little better. In the end, she realizes that the prince wasn't her true love, but the guy she spent the most time with was her true love! That is actually very believable! It makes sense since Giselle and Edward only knew each other for less than a minute before deciding to get married. Giselle and Robert, however, got to know each other a lot more! This is reality vs fantasy! I feel like Enchanted doesn't get enough attention! It's not like other princess films but likes to poke fun at them!

Enchanted is deeply, DEEPLY underrated in mind. It's a funny and fantastic film that both parodies and celebrates Disney animated films, and it was made by the studio itself. The concept is flat out genius: put a stereotypical Disney princess in the real world and have her react to real-world problems and real-life situations. Every character in the movie is great. Amy Adams as Giselle is such a treat to watch. She truly embodies EVERYTHING there is about a Disney princess, and she's just so sweet, naïve, and lovable. Robert is a great foil for Giselle. Having dealt with a lot of hardships in his life and raising a daughter by himself make him a really make him a relatable character with a lot of heart, and watching him react to all of the fairy-tale elements that invade his life is just flat out great. This movie was pretty successful when it came out in 2007, but it's not that talked about in recent years. Trust me, if you're a Disney fan, you'll really get a kick out of this ...more

10 Tarzan

I love this movie! One of the reasons why it's so great is Tarzan and Jane! I'm not talking about that terrible sequel, I'm talking about the couple, Tarzan and Jane! Tarzan was raised by apes so his behavior isn't the behavior of a normal person. When he meets Jane, she helps him act like a regular human! She is very determined about so it shows how much she cares! And Tarzan really cares about her! At the end of the movie, Jane was about to leave the jungle, but instead she decided to stay with Tarzan! A very great love story!

The Contenders
11 Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

I'm surprised. Why is the romantic love story of Snow White so low, when it should be in top 1?

Wait, what? Snow White is down here, and Up is 'up' there? Up is even not a love story!

, this love story is the best, why...? And ''Up'' is in top 2? It's not even a love story!

12 Wall-E
13 Peter Pan
14 Cinderella (1950)
15 The Little Mermaid
16 Frozen

Sure, Anna and Kristoff get together in the movie, but Frozen was always about the story of sisterly love that Anna and Elsa shared for each other. It doesn't matter if it's romantic love or familial love, a love story is still a love story.

17 Zootopia
18 The Aristocats
19 The Rescuers
20 Robin Hood
21 The Rescuers Down Under
22 Sleeping Beauty
23 Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure
