Top 10 Disney Movies of 2000-2016

In the past 16 to 17 years, Disney has had some pretty good movies.
The Top Ten
1 Wreck-It Ralph

Back when Owl City was actually good. Wreck-it Ralph is a very creative and original idea. A bad guy in a video game is tired of being a bad guy and goes to other games to try to be a good guy. Well actually, he goes to one video game and gets a medal and then goes to a candyfied version of Mario Kart and helps and annoying little girl win a race. There are many references to other video games in this movie like Sonic the Hedgehog, Pac-Man, Super Mario Bros, Mortal Kombat, Pong, Dig Dug, Frogger, Centipede, Q-Bert, Tapper, and Tomb Raider. How did this movie not win an Oscar?

This had restored my faith in Disney, proved to me that they could still make good movies after nearly a decade of crap and still appeal to modern audiences and sensibilities. Too bad they had to go and make a movie for Tumblrinas four years later.

This movie tackled prejudice much better than Zootopia. That it wasn't so in-your-face about it and it didn't feel like the "message" was priority one while plot, character development, and even music were afterthoughts certainly helped.

Not overmerchandised and no timely social commentary. It's only real competition for the top spot should be Big Hero 6 and *maybe* Inside Out, not the movie that did get overmerchandised and especially not the the movie that's nothing but timely social commentary.

2 The Incredibles

Pixar at its best. The Incredibles is the first Pixar film where all of the characters are humans. Actually, they're not necessarily humans, they're superheroes. Mr. Incredible has super strength, Elastigirl is extremely flexible and incredibly irresistible, Violet can turn invisible and has a force field, Dash can run fast, Jack Jack can flame on, and Frozone is the male version of Elsa. I see the family as a better version of the Fantastic 4 plus Quicksilver. Especially since there has never been a good Fantastic 4 movie.

Best Disney movie, and the best animated movie (sorry fantastic mr. fox and MegaMind). No movie has ever had as much of a good plot, great characters, or notable quotes. "Where's my Super Suit!?

This was bar none the best Disney movie of the 21st century. Only Remember the Titans rivals it in my opinion.

This was my Childhood, and still is

3 Zootopia

What? How is Wreck-It Ralph higher? Zootopia has a lot of funny jokes, I was laughing through the entire film. This film is what Chicken Little should have been (actually Chicken Little was doomed from the start) As a 12 year old, and not a big fan of furries, I actually highly enjoyed this film. There are a lot of likable characters such as Nick Wilde. This movie got a 4.5/5 rating on Google Play and I think it deserved those ratings. Not only that but it's strong message about racism and two characters to represent it. Bunnies are seen as weaklings as foxes are seen as criminals. (Judy and Nick) I watch this movie all the time on my phone as I hope there will be a squeal.

If this was Disney's apology for Chicken Little, then apology accepted. Zootopia/Zootropolis is one of the most creative and funny movies I've seen in a while. The jokes were funny, the details were amazing, and it has a very good message. It teaches you about not giving up on your dreams and to always keep trying your hardest. This is a movie for both kids and adults to enjoy. There are a lot of things to like about this movie but the absolute best thing about it is Shakira. Nah! Just kidding! Very enjoyable movie and definitely one of my favorites.

Oh there was a squeal alright- a squeal of annoying fans over how great this movie supposedly is and a squeal of rage from those not into lousy puns, social justice a la Tumblr, or Shakira. As for how is Wreck-It Ralph higher, it did address anti-bullying and prejudice but those weren't front and center with everything else felt like an afterthought. Frankly though Big Hero 6 should be ahead of both movies, but unless everyone stops worshipping Zootopia that's never going to happen.

What? How is Big Hero 6 lower? Zootopia has a lot of lame jokes and terrible puns, I didn't even crack a smile through the entire film. This film is what Chicken Little should have been (read: never made) There are a lot of characters the movie tried to hard to make people like such as Nick Wilde. This movie got a 4.5/5 rating on Google Play and I really don't think it deserved those ratings. Not only that but it's strong message about racism and two characters to represent it because we're all living in a world ruled by Tumblrinas and SJWs.

4 Big Hero 6

Big Hero 6 is an action packed movie based on a Marvel comic. And to even prove it is based on a Marvel comic, they have Stan Lee guest star. The movie is about college students who become superheroes to avenge the death of Hiro's brother, Tadashi. My favorite character is Gogo. She is hot. I also really like Baymax. He doesn't have a mouth and is basically expressionless but I actually ended up caring about him. This is also the first Disney movie to ever make me cry. BECAUSE OF HOW RIDICULOUSLY HILARIOUS THE FIST BUMP IS! Balalalalalala. Also, Fall Out Boy has a song in this movie. They are definitely the greatest band ever.

A movie that has a multi-ethnic cast but does not emphasize that said cast is multi-ethnic or their individual ethnicities in any way for any reason? And actually has a good song that's inspirational (enough) yet doesn't sound like overdone girly-pop tripe from the mid-90s? Has funny moments but they seem natural rather than forced? Doesn't try much too hard to make you feel a certain way about any particular character? If only Disney made a movie like that- oh wait, they did. Big Hero 6 is that movie.

Fun film looking forward to part 2 or I will make it myself 25 years later you'll find if ill do it or not.

Can everyone please forget Moralizing Animals for a moment and at least get this to #2 if not #1?

5 Inside Out

Ever wondered what goes on inside someone's head? Neither have I! But this movie is still amazing! It shows the struggle of growing up and adapting to a new city and all that stuff. I've been to San Francisco and that place sucks. I would not want to live there. The casting for this movie is also brilliant. Lewis Black as Anger was absolutely perfect. Disgust is my favorite emotion because she is absolutely hot. Fear was pretty hilarious. As for Joy and Sadness, eh. Riley is a very likeable character. Also, since when do girls play hockey?

Beautiful. Just beautiful. All the emotions are likeable (especially anger, because relatableness) and Riley is a very realistic character. And the fact that there is no toilet humor is a big plus for me.

Great movie. All hail, Pixar are back!

Amazing movie!

6 Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Terrible movie, can't stress enough how much of a disappointment this movie was

May not be the best in the franchise but it for sure saved it

The force awakens is really really good I love it so much

This is actually the best one

7 Toy Story 3

I really like this movie, I am not a fan of toy story 2, I think this one is much better.

Toy story is like one of the only movies that doesn't have bad sequels

As good as Toy Story was this is the only Toy Story movie I watch.

One of the best

8 Marvel's the Avengers

Even this everyone knows its marvel.

9 Tangled

This movie probably has the best story I've ever seen in a Disney movie. The queen gets an illness and in order to be healed the king sends his soldiers to get a flower of gold that was created by a drop of sun. The queen gets healed and gets a baby with blonde hair. However, she gets stolen by a woman who wants to stay young forever. And then other stuff happens. Anyway, this movie is really good. There's only one song I like in it, though. The characters are great and the animation is gorgeous. This movie also proves that a frying pan can be used as a very lethal weapon.

Well obv this become my favorite number one Disney movie. It's funny yet romantic. Also I love rapunzel because she's the person I can relate to. She has this girly side but also an adventurous side. Hahha frying pans. lol. This movie got me the chuckles and rollingonethefloor laughter. THIS MOVIE SHOULD BE NUMBER ONE

Amazing movie. Beautiful story and visuals.

I love this movie way better then frozen

10 Finding Nemo

This is a classic and it also is my moms favorite

The Contenders
11 Captain America: Civil War
12 Up

When I first saw the trailer for this movie, I thought I was going to hate it. This movie really surprised me. It's cute, it's emotional, and it's very lovable. Even though it's impossible to fly a house with that amount of balloons. As annoying as Russel is, I still like him. Definitely my third favorite Pixar movie.

I loved Up! It was emotional and funny on the same time!

Deeply moving

13 Guardians of the Galaxy

The thing that gave us Chris Pratt and how he's the male Lily James.

14 Frozen

Ever wanted to let it go and build a snowman? This movie is wonderful! Haters can step off. I am aware the story doesn't make much sense but that doesn't make it a bad movie. Also, people say this movie has too many songs. Anyone who thinks that clearly hates Broadway musicals. In my opinion, there is only one bad song in the movie. Fixer Upper. But people don't complain about it because everyone hates it. Whereas people complain about songs like Do You Wanna Build a Snowman and Let it Go because they're popular. Idina Menzel is an awesome singer. This movie is overrated but I still like it.

Number 13? This movie was the best Disney Princesses movie of the 2000s. It deserves top 4 spot.

I have seen this movie at lest 400 times, I love it. team elsa & anna, I like them both.

This is what child molesters watch.

15 Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl

Ahoy, me mateys. If you have been to Disneyland then you have probably been on the ride, Pirates of the Caribbean. Apparently, the ride was so popular that they decided to make a movie based on the ride and decided to cast Johnny Depp in the lead role. Last year, I actually saw Johnny Depp in person at D23 and he was dressed as Jack Sparrow. Curse of the Black Pearl is definitely the best of the Pirates films. I also happen to like the sequels (except At World's End). They're even making another sequel which will be released next year. I'm looking forward to. It's a pirate's life for me.

16 Cinderella (2015)

Ever since Mia Wasikowska fell down that rabbit hole into Johnny Depp's Wonderland there have been quite a few live action Disney fairytales. This is one of those fairytales and even features an Alice alumnus, Helena Bonham Carter playing against type to be a fairy godmother to Lily James' ragged servant girl.

There's also a subtle Downton Abbey casting gag here with Lily James aka Downton's Lady Rose having to wait hand and foot on Sophie McShera aka Downton's Daisy the cook.

People talked about the lack of chemistry between 50 Shades stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan. That's underscored by the magical chemistry between Lily James and Richard Madden here. Plus for the ladies Richard Madden is in figure hugging white breeches.

Let it go Frozen, your time in the spotlight was up the moment Lily James shined as this ragged servant girl turned princess.

17 Wall-E

Better message than Zootopia

18 Iron Man 3

1st thing. ITS MARVEL STUDIOS! NOT DISNEY! The only good Disney movies are pirates of the Caribbean!

What the what! Iron man 3 why is it here? Its Marvel, everyone knows that even 5 year olds know it.

Marvel is Disney. That's why it's on here.

19 Ratatouille
20 Avengers: Age of Ultron
21 Monsters, Inc.
22 Holes
23 Moana

An instant Disney classic that represents rich Polynesian mythology/folklore.

24 Cars
25 Alice In Wonderland (2010)

Recently there has been this trend of live action fantasy epics based on timeless stories. This pretty much kicked off the trend.

In other words, if Mia Wasikowska didn't fall down that rabbit hole into Johnny Depp's Wonderland we probably wouldn't have had witnessed Angelina Jolie cursing an infant or Lily James attending Richard Madden's ball with help from her Fairy Godmother Helena Bonham Carter (who shows up here as The Red Queen).
