Top 10 Best Disney Movies that Don’t Have VillainsMegaSoulhero Believe it or not, but not every Disney movie has a villain. And we are going to discuss the ones that don’t.
The Top Ten
I remember watching this as a kid. - TheFourthWorld
Extremely Goofy Movie is stupid! But let’s talk about the original. This movie doesn’t need a villain to be good! It deals with the struggles of being a father and the struggles of being a son with a father who cares too much about you. All Goofy wants to do is spend time with his son Max. By the way, I actually met the voice actor of Goofy at D23. Normally I hate road trip movies, but it’s done very well here. Throughout the movie, Goofy and Max start to bond a little more. I feel like putting in a villain would probably ruin this. It’s a very relatable, mature, and heartfelt movie. Which is kind weird to come from something called A Goofy Movie. I love a lot of things about this movie! I can see why it’s grown such a fanbase over the past few years. - MegaSoulhero
I really love this movie...i love how the way mrs.julie andrews sings she's such a good teacher
La La Land > Mary Poppins. I really don’t like this movie, but I’m in the minority. I know how much everyone loves this movie. So I decided to add it to the list. That and I ran out of entries. To its credit, I guess it’s pretty harmless. It’s not offensive and doesn’t teach bad morals. And I guess some of the songs are okay. However, there are still quite a lot of dumb moments in it. The “I Love to Laugh” scene, the penguin dance, the chimney sweeps, Bert’s fake British accent, the child actors not being able to act, this movie has not aged well! I know people will disagree with me on this but that’s just how I feel. I’m actually kind of excited to see Mary Poppins Returns because it will be nice to see what a Mary Poppins film would look like in the modern era. Plus, anything with Lin-Manuel Miranda is bound to be good! Except for the Magic School Bus Rides Again. - MegaSoulhero

Great movie! I love Pixar quite a lot. They make a lot of great films. And this is definitely one of them. Some might argue that the movie does have a villain. The scuba diver kidnaps Nemo, but a lot of humans in real life capture fish in the ocean. And he had no intention of harming him. He probably didn’t even know it was just a kid fish and that he was stealing him from his dad. Bruce is a nice shark who doesn’t eat fish. However, he gets out of control when he sees blood. So he can’t help it. The anglerfish I see more as an obstacle to make it harder for Marlin to rescue Nemo. than an evil character. The whale that swallows Marlin and Dory is, again, just an obstacle. And it actually ends up helping them. By the way, does anyone ever wonder why the whale has a uvula? And as for Darla, she’s just a kid. She doesn’t know shaking the bag is wrong and harmful to the fish. The point is, this movie doesn’t have a real villain. Just a bunch of obstacles. And that’s ...more - MegaSoulhero
Unless you include the Ringmaster and everyone who ridiculed Dumbo throughout the movie but its only because they didn't really understand him and what he was truly capable of. - egnomac

I like this movie because the conflict derives from the idea of just growing up and the problems people face - Phillip873
That is a Pixar movie and jingles the clown is the bad guy - Sausagelover99
Pixar movies are released by Disney and Jingles the Clown is a minor villain. - Disney1994
Look, it goes without saying that The Incredibles is the best Pixar movie ever made, but if I had to choose a close second, it would be Inside Out! Before this movie came out, Pixar was in kind of a slump ever since Cars 2. But this got them back on track. I still haven’t met anyone who likes Cars 2. I don’t think anyone like that exists. If you think about, this movie kind of does have a villain. Not in the way that we’re used to, though. The real villain of the film is growing up. It’s something that Riley and all of us go through. It’s some that’s hard to get used to. We need movies like this. There are even shows like this. There’s a Netflix show called Big Mouth that teaches us the horrors of puberty and it does it in a relatable and kind of funny way. Coincidentally, the voice of Bing Bong is in that show. However, Inside Out is more family friendly and a little more mature. It tells us that we need sadness in our lives. It’s a part of growing up. The emotions in ...more - MegaSoulhero
Actually the real villain of the film is the idiot who decided to pair 1 positive emotion with 4 negative emotions. - mattstat716
I thought Cars 2 was pretty good...
Frank Is A Vilian...
I want to make something clear. Chick Hicks is NOT a villain! He’s just McQueen’s rival! He doesn’t even do anything evil throughout the entire film! Sure he causes the King to crash, but this is a race! It’s not like he’s breaking the rules or anything! He doesn’t cheat, he doesn’t sabotage the race, he just races and acts like a jerk! That does not mean he’s a villain! All he does is gloat and act cool while getting on everyone else’s nerves! He’s annoying but not evil! He’s just a racecar who wants to win! Anyway, Cars is a good film. I don’t really get why people hate it. People say it’s boring but I felt like it took the right amount of time to develop the characters. So we can get to know them. The message of the film is that sometimes you have to slow down and enjoy life. And that’s what McQueen does. There’s more to racing than just winning. Not one of Pixar’s strongest films, but still enjoyable. Cars 2, however, NOBODY likes that movie! ...more - MegaSoulhero
A really great movie that focuses entirely on a little witch girl trying to find her place in the world through her struggles and triumphs though the climax was a little forced. - egnomac
Studio Ghibli has made a lot of good films! And two bad ones! Howl’s Moving Castle was bad and Tales From Earthsea was atrocious! I don’t love Kiki’s Delivery Service as much as everyone else does, but it’s enjoyable. And I count it as a Disney film because Disney did the English dubbing. This movie doesn’t have a villain. The climax involves a blimp crashing and Kiki, aka Mary Jane, flies on her broom and saves Tombo. It’s ironic that Kirsten Dunst was a damsel in distress in the Spider-Man trilogy and her character is the one being the savior in this movie. I like this movie. The characters are great, the animation is great, and the relationships are great. My sister is obsessed with this film. I’m not too obsessed with it, but it’s enjoyable. I still think Spirited Away is better, though. - MegaSoulhero
Better animation than most cartoons nowadays.
This is an example of a movie that shows you can have conflict without having a villain. In this case, the conflict is Dory finding her parents. There’s no character that’s keeping her from reaching that goal, intentionally. It’s great seeing Dory go on a journey to find her parents without giving up. And eventually, her persistence pays off. Because she ends up finding her parents. And she did it with the help of new friends. The movie isn’t perfect, but it’s entertaining. And that makes it enjoyable. Did the sequel need to be made? No. Am I glad it was made? Yes. It’s definitely a great movie and a great sequel. - MegaSoulhero
This was always a good movie.
A lot of people seem to forget about this movie. It is criminally underrated! I remember watching this years ago and really enjoying it! I’ve watched it recently and it’s still great! There’s s character in the film named Dr. Calico, but he’s not actually a villain. He’s just an actor playing a villain in a T.V. show. But since Bolt thinks that everything that happens in the show is real, he really thinks he’s a villain. It’s kind of sad that this movie doesn’t get the attention that it deserves. It’s very cute and funny. My main problem with it though is that it kind feels a little too similar to Toy Story. Bolt is basically the Buzz Lightyear of this movie. He thinks he’s really this thing that he’s not, others try to convince him that he’s not that thing, he has a realization of it later on, and he learns to accept it. It’s basically Toy Story. But it’s still done very well. Definitely an underrated movie. But it would’ve been better if Miley Cyrus ...more - MegaSoulhero

She apologizes for mistreating Lady and Tramp by sending a box of dog biscuits to make amendments. - Disney1994
It’s a shame that this was the very last 2D animated Disney film to ever be made. But it was nice send off by making it about one of Disney’s most likeable characters. I haven’t watched this movie in a while, though. But from what I can remember, it doesn’t have an antagonist. Everyone likes Winnie the Pooh. He’s a character that’s very hard to hate. The other characters are likeable as well. Yes, even Rabbit. This is a cute movie and a nice way of saying goodbye to 2D animation. - MegaSoulhero
That big bear was a villain he turned evil when he turned from a prince into a bear and couldn't turn back.
Mor'du? And that guy was a pretty aggressive and important villain. - 445956
Brother Bear has a 38% on Rotten Tomatoes and Hercules has an 83%? Unbelieveable! I honestly don’t think Brother Bear is that bad. I found it to be pretty charming and it had some really great moments. You’re probably gonna tell me that Brother Bear does have a villain. But if you really think about it, it honestly doesn’t. Denali isn’t really a villain. He was just doing what’s right. His brother Sitka was killed by a bear. And then he thought his other brother Kenai was killed by a bear. So he wanted to avenge their death. He didn’t know that Kenai was turned into a bear. So he didn’t know that he was hunting his own brother. He was just being a hero. I know people hate this movie, but I enjoy it quite a bit. - MegaSoulhero
Although it's got an antagonist- Sid Phillips- Sid can't be a true villain because he had no way of knowing that the toys were alive until they make it known when trying to save Buzz from being blown up. And I think Sid was more misunderstood than evil. It's theorized that he did what he did because he was a lonely kid with no friends, an overactive imagination, and not much of a home life. And he does change after this. He gives up his mutilation of toys and grows up to be a garbage man. He looks and seems better and happier, and it's theorized that he became a garbage man to save toys that people have thrown away. I don't think Sid was really as evil as he seemed.

Yeah but it was a misunderstanding; they were looking for their son. - Disney1994
This movie actually has a villain Doris an experiment gone wrong who gets Bowler Hat Guy to help her steal one of the time machines to go back in time to steal Lewis's invention to pass as his own and then get them to produce more robot hats like her to completely take over the world and destroy the future. - egnomac
