Best Disney Villains

I'm a fan of the villain characters in Disney. Here's the best ones in my opinion

The Top Ten Best Disney Villains

1 Chernabog (Fantasia) Chernabog is a Disney villain from the 1940s film Fantasia, and in his segment, "A Night on Bald Mountain".

Ahh! This guy is just so scary even Mickey put him on the show in a episode! He's so scary you don't want to be near him!

The true definition of evil.

Chernabog & the Evil queen are the best!

I hardly know who took guy is, but he seems awful.

2 Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

She’s awesome. Who can forget the best Female Disney Villain ever. I mean if Chernabog was not involved in any plan, then Maleficent would definitely take over any evil plans with other Disney villains. Remember, they both have a lot in things in common. They are from Hell, they create dark magic, they are rulers of darkness, they have horns on their heads, and they the most powerful, and most evil Disney villains ever. I think both her and Chernabog should make a great couple. In which they did in House of Villains. But I think Disney should do more stories about their relationship. - asantalo

The most powerful Disney villain. She can turn into a dragon! - Randomator

Who else?

3 Hades (Hercules)

He's hilarious, especially when he's angry!

The funniest Disney villain hands down - Randomator

I also love Hades, way more than Jerkules! Hercules sucked and he was so annoying and whiny. Hades deserved to rule. - RedTheGremlin

4 Judge Frollo (The Hunchback of Notre Dame)

I like Frollo - RedTheGremlin

5 Scar (Lion King) Scar is the main antagonist of Disney's 1994 animated feature film, The Lion King. He was the second son of Ahadi and Uru — who were, at one time, King and Queen of the Pride Lands — the younger brother of Mufasa, and the uncle of Simba.

I love all the villains (except for Hans in Frozen), but this one is one of my favorites

Scar is the best villain, and I wish I could punch people in the face if they said anything otherwise. - RedTheGremlin

Only 6th, really? Come on, he's the best disney villain ever!

Meh not that good. - Randomator

6 Darth Vader (Star Wars) Darth Vader was the original dark lord for Star Wars. Darth Vader ruled with both fear and aggression. Originally Anakin Skywalker a young Jedi who was then seduced by the dark side of the force by Chancellor Palpatine/Darth Sidious. Vader had his limbs cut off by his jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi leaving more.

Definition of badass - PeeledBanana

One of the only good villains on this list.

Vader for the win! The force is strong with this one! - Randomator

No before Star Wars was taken over

7 Jafar (Aladdin)

A psychotic sorcerer is amazing. His transformation to a giant Cobra gave me nightmares when I was a kid. Jafar is always one of the bests. The design however is actually inspired from Maleficent. Disguising as a old person is what The Evil Queen does too, and Jafar can do that in a great way - asantalo

He’s very cool, Jasmine was actually brave enough to kiss him to try to save Aladdin from his wrath! Eww!

8 Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians) Cruella de Vil is a fictional character who appeared in Dodie Smith's 1956 novel The Hundred and One Dalmatians, Disney's animated film adaptations 101 Dalmatians and 101 Dalmatians II: Patch's London Adventure, and Disney's live-action film adaptations 101 Dalmatians and 102 Dalmatians as the main more.

So badass - Randomator

9 Ursula (Little Mermaid) Ursula is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 28th animated feature film The Little Mermaid.

Very cool villain, the most fair actually. She kept her promise from the contract and waited for three days for Ariel to kiss Eric.

I love her

Best Disney Villain laughter ever! Definitely better than Cruella. Because her laugh is too iconic. She comes close to be best villain laughters ever made. She’s 2nd (next to Mark Hamill’s Joker). But still, Pat Carroll’s Ursula is always the best Disney Villain laughter. No villains have perfect or iconic laughs than Ursula. - asantalo

10 Captain Hook (Peter Pan) Captain James Hook is a fictional character, the antagonist of J. M. Barrie's play Peter Pan; or, the Boy Who Wouldn't Grow Up and its various adaptations, in which he is Peter Pan's archenemy.

Overall a great character. Decent all around

Decent at best truly underrated - Randomator

He's hilarious! Definitely another favorite of mine!

The Newcomers

? Prince John (Robin Hood)

The Contenders

11 The Evil Queen (Snow White)

The Evil Queen should be number 1

How come people are forgetting Disney’s first villain in a movie? I mean come on! The Evil Queen is just awesome! She deserves to be in the Top 10. - asantalo

12 Mother Gothel (Tangled) Mother Gothel is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 50th animated feature film Tangled.

I like her too

She’s basically the same Evil Queen from Snow White, except she’s old and wants to become young so that nobody would recognize her. That’s really about it. I do love Tangled, but Mother Gothel is not the number 1 best Disney Villain ever (obviously Chernabog is). - asantalo

13 Dr. Faciler (Princess and the Frog)

I was looking for this guy! I LOVE his song Friends on the Other Side! His outfit, personality, EVERYTHING is amazing! - BlueTopazIceVanilla

Is it just me or does this guy look a lot like Waluigi? - Randomator

14 Sid Phillips (Toy Story)

Although still the antagonist of Toy Story, Sid can't actually be a true villain because he did not know that the toys he mutilated were alive until they make it known. And he makes a huge change after this. He gives up his mutilation of toys and becomes a garbage man when he grows up. It's theorized that Sid did what he did because he was a lonely kid with no friends, and overactive imagination, and not much of a home life. It's also theorized that he became a garbage man when he got older to save toys that have thrown away. I'm proud of you, Sid!

Actually not a villain

15 Shan Yu (Mulan) Shan Yu is the main antagonist of Disney's 1998 animated feature film, Mulan. He is the evil leader of the Hun Army.

This guy is just terrifying!

16 Ilosovic Stayne (Alice in Wonderland)

Dishonest and manipulative, he is referred to as the Knave. But he's still really cool. It stinks he had to be chained to the Red Queen and banished to the outlands with her. He's my favorite in Alice in Wonderland and one of my favorite villains.

17 Honest John (Pinocchio)

He's one of my favorites for sure. He's an ironic character because he's not honest at all. He's a conman. But he's also funny. He's illiterate, and although smart most of the time, he can still be a bit of a bonehead at times. And you could clearly tell that he was disturbed by the coachman talking about Pleasure Island. He and Giddy trick Pinocchio into going out of fear. I find him hard not to like.

To be honest this guy kind of scares me. Not because of his looks, but how he was able to trick Pinocchio

18 Gaston (Beauty & the Beast) Gaston is a fictional character who appears in Walt Disney Pictures' 30th animated feature film Beauty and the Beast.

He’s one of my favorite villains

19 Queen Jadis the White Witch (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion the Witch & the Wardrobe)
20 Butch Cavendish (The Lone Ranger)

21 Ratigan (The Great Mouse Detective)

The funniest villain.

Why isn't he higher?

22 Durza (Eragon)
23 Percival C. McLeach (The Rescuers Down Under)

He's deceiving and manipulating and loves killing. He kidnaps a little boy and tries threatening him into telling him where to find the giant golden eagle so he get rich, even throwing knives at him. Then he tries feeding him to some crocodiles before falling over the waterfall to his death.

24 Horned King (The Black Cauldron)
25 Baron Zemo (Captain America: Civil War) Baron Zemo is the name of two fictional supervillains appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
26 The Winter Soldier (Captain America: The Winter Soldier) James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
27 Captain Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean The Curse of the Black Pearl)

He's neutral after the first movie.

28 The Red Queen (Alice in Wonderland / Alice Through the Looking Glass) The Red Queen is a fictional character in Lewis Carroll's fantasy novel Through the Looking-Glass. She is often confused with the Queen of Hearts from the previous book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, although the two are very different.

She was okay, not the best villain in my opinion

I’m confused of her being The Live Action Queen of Hearts. - asantalo

29 Ego the Living Planet (Guardians of the Galaxy 2) Ego the Living Planet is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

He's super powerful and so awesome in guardians of the galaxy vol.2

30 Dr. Doofenshmirtz (Phineas and Ferb)

Are you kidding me? This guy's head is a nose with eyes, hair, a mouth, and another nose! - RedTheGremlin

Not really a good villain but not the worst one either

He’s honestly a terrible villain. He loses every time

31 Bill Sykes (Oliver and Company)

He's underrated. Sykes really should be higher... - RedTheGremlin

32 Madame Medusa (The Rescuers)

SNOOPS! What's wrong?!

33 Lady Tremaine (Cinderella)

Not really a villain character in my opinion. She's just a total ass toward Cinderella - Randomator

She’s somewhat evil. Her cat’s name is Lucifer, meaning the name of the Devil. She worships the Devil. The Brothers Grim version of her, she forced her daughters to cut off her toes and piece of heel to wear the slipper. What a w#*~€! - asantalo

34 Queen Narissa (Enchanted) Queen Narissa is the main antagonist from Disney's 2007 feature hybrid film Enchanted, and is the stepmother of Prince Edward.
35 The Witch (Into the Woods)
36 The Wolf (Into the Woods)
37 Rico (Home on the Range)

Bad character. And terrible film ever made. - asantalo

Eh...he's more of a secondary antagonist in my opinion. - RedTheGremlin

38 Stromboli (Pinocchio)
39 Zira (Lion King II)

Abuses her own kids and is cunning vengeful ruthless and patient

40 Syndrome (The Incredibles) Syndrome (born as Buddy Pine) is the primary antagonist in The Incredibles. He wanted to be super like the others, even though he had no powers. He was Mr. Incredible's #1 fan, and dubbed himself "Incrediboy," but he was rejected by Mr. Incredible. Angered after being refused, he developed an evil plan more.
