Top 10 Division 1 Schools Whose Football Team Overshadows Their Basketball Team

My previous list talked about the schools who had better basketball programs. Here’s schools whose football program is more successful than basketball.
The Top Ten
1 Alabama The Alabama Crimson Tide refers to the 21 men and women varsity teams that represent the University of Alabama.

I think last year their basketball program was successful due to Collin Sexton.

Yeah not even close. Football is way more dominant

2 Ohio State The Ohio State Buckeyes are the athletic teams that represent The Ohio State University, named after the colloquial term for people from the state of Ohio and after the state tree, the Ohio Buckeye.

Same as Alabama they are more dominant in football by far

3 Oklahoma

Sometimes they are legitimate in basketball but football has always been there sport

4 Clemson The Clemson Tigers are the athletic teams representing Clemson University. They compete as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I level (Football Bowl Subdivision, primarily competing in the Atlantic Coast Conference for all sports since the 1953-54 season.

Basketball has never really been the Tigers thing

5 Washington Huskies The sports teams for the University of Washington, the Huskies compete in the NCAA Division I as part of the Pac-12 Conference. With strong rowing, football, and women's volleyball teams, they have a rich athletic history. Their colors are purple and gold.

Washington has been more successful in football than basketball

6 TCU
7 USC Officially known as the USC Trojans, this collegiate athletic program represents the University of Southern California. Based in Los Angeles, the program has garnered numerous national championships across multiple sports, including football and basketball. The team colors are cardinal and gold.

Again more successful in football than basketball

8 Georgia The Georgia Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs are the athletic teams of the University of Georgia. The Bulldogs compete in NCAA Division I and are members of the Southeastern Conference.

Again they have had more success with Football. But that applies to most of the SEC

9 Auburn The Auburn Tigers football program represents Auburn University in the sport of American college football.

They always seem to be a decent football team and can be a real thorn in Alabama’s side sometimes

10 Kansas State

They are mediocre in both sports but slightly better in football probably because Bill Snyder has been there forever
