Greatest Drummers of All Time

The Contenders: Page 8

141 Tetsu Kikuchi

Tetsu Kikuchi is one of the best (If not the best) drummers out there. I hope everyone votes for him. D'erlanger is one of the best bands, his fills and rhythm are just incredible. Long life to Tetsu Kikuchi! The best drummer of the world!

One of the best and fastest rock drummers in Japan from the band D'ERLANGER. He was the drummer of SAVER TIGER and ZI:KILL. He and CIPHER created CRAZE after D'ERLANGER disbanded and in 2007 his main band reunited again. - ronluna

142 Chris Slade
143 Matt Helders

This guy is an absolute beast real shame he is not on top. Listen to This House is a Circus or Pretty Visitors and tell me he doesn't deserve to be sitting in the top 10. When I wrote this comment his name was not even on the list.

Listen to Brianstorm by Arctic Monkeys and your mind will be blown, the drums in it are incredible

Beastly drummer. Listen to brianstorm and tell me he shouldn't be number 1

The View from the Afternoon? This guy is amazing and should be way further up the list!

144 James Kottak
145 Aston Family Man Barrett

Responsible for a totally new style of drumming. - AKPickin

146 Michael Shrieve

Watch Soul Sacrifice and marvel at how this kid could do what he did. Could it be that he was a great drummer?

Watch Santana at Woodstock. You cannot take your eyes off of Mike Shrieve.

Shrieve was only 17 when playing at Woodstock

147 Don Brewer

Just saw Don play with Bob Seger in Pittsburgh. At 63, he is a better drummer now than he was 40 years ago. No frills, just straight ahead, power drumming, without the theatrics of being part of the "New" GFR.

American Band is the holy grail of rock tunes... and Brewer is right there as the locomotive... Super solid, always driving the band... He is one of rock's greatest drummers...

Plays one of the top 5 drum solos of all time. He should be in the top 10 easily not only for his stick skills but vocal ability also.

148 Matt Sorum

Nah, even that adler was to drug to play on the use your illusions albums. adler wrote the drum "licks to you could be mine". I do agree that sorum is underrated espically have someone lame lick aaron spears and travis baker on the list

most underrated drummer. should be way ahead of steven adler. - DylanBr00ks

149 Dave Mackintosh

Fastest double bass listen to fallen world, the game, and reasons to live, just any song from DragonForce and you will see,(or hear) how fast his double bass is listen to them play live for the songs I said earlier then you'll know then all vote for him not only double bass but everything he plays

Best Double and Alternate Bass ever created... just astonishing

Fastest double bass drummer in the world no arguing with that

His drumming is INSANE - wrests

150 Elvin Jones Elvin Jones Elvin Ray Jones was an American jazz drummer of the post-bop era. He showed an interest in drums at a young age, watching the circus bands march by his family's home in Pontiac, Michigan.

The idea that he could keep up with the intellectual energy is amazing. The fact that he put a beat, rhythm and tempo to it is profound. Check him out on any of the classic quartet's pieces. - AKPickin

151 Max Roach Max Roach

Hello people, this man was maybe the greatest jazz drummer of all time, Buddy Rich was a banging hack compared to this man. If Buddy Rich is number 4, then then Max is number 3.

152 Alan White

Allen White is by far the best drummer ever.

The drummer from Oasis. He is one of the best!

153 Carmine Appice

When Vanilla Fudge hit the scene there was no American drummer who could drive an audience to a frenzy like he does in "You keep me hanging on". Probably not rated higher because good as they were, Vanilla Fudge was known more as a copy band.

Are you kidding john Bonham received some pointers from this guy!

Yay, Carmine Appice! From Vanilla Fudge to Blue murder, Appice rocks!

154 Jose Pasillas

Sick Sad Little World, all I gotta say.

155 Tommy Aldridge Tommy Aldridge

101? Are you kidding! Who came up with this list Ringo Starr? Tommy goes all the way back to Black Oak Arkansaw! He is a master of the double bass, along with spinning his sticks, when Tommy Lee was in Diapers! He should be in the top 10!

Pat Travers, Ozzy Osborne this guy can destroy a set of drums

Move him up! He's a hell of a drummer!

156 Spencer Smith

He is in one of the BEST bands ever, and I feel like he is underrated because he's supposedly not as hot as Brendon Urie or Ryan Ross. That's not cool because when it comes to the music, the band would be nothing without him. What is a song without the beat of the drums? Their first album"A Fever You Can't Sweat Out" would be nothing without the drums. Spencer Smith deserves more recognition than he gets, and I'm going to let him have it.

157 Jaska Raatikainen Jaska Raatikainen
158 Marco Human Metronome Minneman

I can't believe nobody commented anything about him before! He is definitely unbelievable and must be the first, better than anyone above...

Not the best, but damned near close...

159 Eric Carr Eric Carr Paul Charles Caravello better known by his stage name Eric Carr, was an American musician who was the drummer for the rock band Kiss from 1980 to 1991. Caravello was selected as the new Kiss drummer after Peter Criss left, when he chose the stage name "Eric Carr" and took up the "Fox" persona.

What, Eric Carr is one of the greatest drummers I have ever seen. Saw him live in 84, and have also seen Neil Peart live too, and I gotta tell ya, Eric Carr impressed me much more. Neil Peart is just boring quite frankly, he uses all this equipment to make a range of different sound sure, but nothing beats Eric Carr's heavy rock n roll drumming. Simple but powerful. R.I.P my friend

How Can the fox is not in the list. He is one of the best drummer in the world. RIP... Eric Carr!

Eric is my all times favorite drummer and I think KISS would have been a lot better with him at the drumset today.R.I.P. eric Carr, The Fox of the drums!
