In fact, he has Indonesian blood and ancestry.

He's arguably the best guitarist of all time.

2 Nick Oosterhuis

Multi-instrumentalist Nick Oosterhuis is probably the best keyboard player of all time from the Netherlands, but let's not forget his guitar work, both on his one solo work as well as with other bands and the many session recordings he did.

Actually many people know him as a keyboardplayer, but he is an excellent guitar player as well. Multitalented musician, played on loads of records and toured with a lot of top acts as a hired gun.

Ironically not as well known in his native Netherlands as internationally, probably because he migrated to Germany in the eighties

As a keyboard player this guy is top ten, as a guitar player this ranking is too high. Don't get me wrong, terrific player but there are better ones like Eelco Gelling, Jan Akkerman etc. Just my 2c

3 Jan Akkerman

Jan Akkerman (born 24 December 1946) is a Dutch guitarist. He first found international commercial success with the band Focus, whom he co-founded with Thijs van Leer. Eelco should come out in the top 5 of dutch guitar players

12 Hank Shermann
13 Jeff Zwart

Jeff Zwart Was a Dutch guitarist.

14 Arjen Anthony Lucassen
15 Robby Valentine

Although not a guitarist of the caliber of some of the others on this list, he's a Dutch singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist that you might want to check out if you're into Queen or the Beatles. Piano is his first instrument and he's pretty good at it and he's decent on guitar as well. But his voice and songwriting capabilities are awesome. Some of his songs and vocals sound a lot like Queen and his band ("Valentine") even tours with Brian May's band sometimes. He did an album with Valensia (another good Dutch band to check out) and it's very Beatle-ish.

16 Phil Karis

Superb melodic guitarist, subtle and controlled with a great syncopic feeling.
