Most Emotional Rock and Heavy Metal Songs

I saw the list “Most Emotional Pop Songs” made by BoredJeff02, and that plus listening to Empire Of The Clouds by Iron Maiden for literally probably the 30th time in a week, gave me this idea. Hope you enjoy the list.

The Top Ten

1 Empire of the Clouds - Iron Maiden

The last three minutes make me cry. The dreamers may die... that’s what always gets me. - CostcoHotDogs

This song makes me feel more emotion than any other song I’ve ever heard in my entire 12 years of life. Just listen to it. The amount of emotion that is conveyed in this song is immesurable. And it’s about the R101 airship. This song really means a lot to me. My all time favorite song. I’m not even kidding when I say this, but before I die, I want to see this get to #1 on the best songs of all time list. That is all I want to see. - CostcoHotDogs

2 Beyond the Realms of Death - Judas Priest

This song is amazing, one of Judas Priest’s best. The guitar from K.K. Downing is amazing, and Glenn Tipton’s solos are as well. Rob Halford’s vocals are incredible. - CostcoHotDogs

3 Coming Back to Life - Pink Floyd

My favorite Pink Floyd song. I first heard this song from David Gilmour Live In Gdańsk. I listened to the studio version and it’s even better. This song is tear inducing. - CostcoHotDogs

4 One - Metallica

Very emotional ballad from the...And Justice For All album. It’s about the atrocities of war, specifically about a soldier who got his arms, legs, and face blown off in WWI and lost his sight and hearing. “Nothing is real but pain now”. This song really disturbs me. I’d rather die than live like Helen Keller. - CostcoHotDogs

5 Home Sweet Home - Mötley Crüe

This one is self explanatory. - CostcoHotDogs

6 1916 - Motörhead

A beautiful tribute to soldiers, and one of Motörhead’s best songs. An amazing song to close off the 1916 album. (If you haven’t, you should listen to that album. It’s really good.) - CostcoHotDogs

7 Blood Red Skies - Judas Priest

The song itself is another awesome rebel anthem, but the guitar solo, outro, and intro are very emotional. - CostcoHotDogs

8 A Toute Le Monde - Megadeth

I have no idea what this one is about either. It’s from the grossly overhated Youthanasia album. I really love this one, it speaks to me a lot for some reason. Dave’s vocals are really good in this song. - CostcoHotDogs

9 My Last Sunrise - Demons & Wizards

I always get goosebumps when listen to this song - vocals alone are enough for that because they are very intense. And everything else in this song is very emotional, too - Metal_Treasure

10 Child in Time - Deep Purple

The Contenders

11 Dracula - Iced Earth
12 November Rain - Guns N' Roses
13 Thorn - Blind Guardian
14 High Hopes - Pink Floyd
15 Turn On Your Light - Judas Priest

Judas Priest has really good bonus tracks. I have no idea what this song is about. It’s a really good song, it was recorded during the recording of the Turbo album, and it’s now a bonus track on my favorite album of all time, Defenders Of The Faith. - CostcoHotDogs

16 I Died for You - Iced Earth
17 Stairway to Heaven - Led Zeppelin
18 Soldier of Fortune - Deep Purple
19 Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming - Deep Purple
20 Hurt - Johnny Cash

This song isn’t rock - CostcoHotDogs
