What makes Paradise, Nevada (the unincorporated place you call "Vegas" so great is that it is everywhere else... See the pyramids, visit Paris, New York, and Venice all in one day!
There is more off the strip, the Arts District, Chinatown, and even a ski resort on top of mount Charleston. You want French Couture, Paradise has it... You want shows, Clark County has them, you want FOOD? Well, Vegas is the right place for that too.

2 New York, USA

What do you want to do! It's there for you everyday all day, and not just minor experiences. You can have a new and exciting experience every time you go out. All the ethnic charms are there for you to enjoy for days on end. Watch television and movies being made, live shows, free museums, parks, all of it right at your fingertips. I can spend days just watching people. In fact a little danger once when I saw a police chase after a man at the Battery in lower Manhattan he finally stopped and hid out on the riprap next to the shore. I saw the man first hiding in the rocks when the police was trying to find him. Then they caught him. The police were exciting as I was bailing out of the way when they were driving on the sidewalks. That is excitement in New York not that you need that, but it is heart pounding to watch from a safe distance.
