Here are some facts about these underrated fish (doesn't really look like a fish, but it's a fish)

1 Male seahorses "give birth"

The female lay her eggs in the male's pouch. The male then fertilizes the eggs and keep them inside the pouches for 2-3 weeks

2 A baby seahorse is called a "fry"

Don't eat the poor baby fish despite that

3 Seahorses have a small crown called the coral net and no 2 seahorses have the same coral net

4 Seahorses don't have many predators

They're too bony to eat

Seahorses are monogamous. Once they mate they won't find another mate

Because of their tiny fins. They rely on camouflage to escape predators (and they don't have many predators)

Their tails can be used for fighting, anchoring themselves, and mated seahorses can be seen swimming with their tails linked (it's like holding hands for seahorses)

8 A group of seahorses is called a "herd"

Same goes with the land horses

Because they don't have stomaches which means food will pass down their body quickly

10 Seahorse sizes range from 1-14 inches

The smallest seahorse is the pygmy seahorse
