He is unbelievable!

Michael invented the Dean Double-Guitar and was the first person in the world to successfully play it. AWESOME! Michael started playing piano and composing at age 5, started playing guitar at age 10. Michael has performed over 1100 shows in 31 different countries since 1993. He tours the world performing guitar workshops, also records, tours and plays with various bands and solo. He also invented and successfully played the very first 'quad' guitar. However, the instrument was stolen during a Nitro show in El Paso, Texas, and only two of the four parts required for its assembly have ever been recovered. However, Dean Guitars recently finished production on a new quad guitar for Michael. - sadslayer1993V 3 Comments
Buckethead is an amazing guitarist. He's so damn good, that he can actually get away with wearing a KFC bucket and Mike Myers/Halloween movie mask on stage as part of his show...Yet, people not only don't care about that weirdness, but they stayed focused only on his guitar work! Not many people can pull off something like that, you gotta be pretty badass to keep an audience focused while wearing that...amazing.
If "master" is defined as someone who makes the impossible look effortless, then I give you Guitar Master Buckethead. I saw him last night and still haven't gotten over it.
The man in the mask is insane fast.
Just listen to Jordan or the android of notre dame live or ANY of his songs and you will see how fast he is
Guitarist Paul Gilbert has sold over three million records in the United States stemming from his brilliant work with Racer X, Mr. Big and as a solo artist. Long known as one of the top shredders in the business, Gilbert sometimes returns to his blues rock roots as on his Raw Blues Power album - sadslayer1993
The best guitarist of the world
I know everyone on here is bias but please check out Empire of Lies. That track at the very least is ear candy. Youll thank me later.
Er ist schnell!
Got scared there lol well this list looks better then others, it's more realistid cool!
The Great Kat deserves #1 because she brings classical music to a new audience. She is fast, technical and a genius.
The Great Kat was born Katherine Thomas in Swindon, England (on a U.S. air Force Base Military Hospital), moved to USA aged 3. After touring the world as a violinist, she realised that Classical music was dead, so she began updating Classical Music with Speed Metal and transcribed intricate violin solos to the guitar. The Great Kat is the only musician taking note-for-note authentic Classical Music scores (from Vivaldi, Beethoven, Bach, Wagner, Liszt, and Rossini) and re-orchestrating the entire scores with Shred Guitar virtuosity and mixing it with Speed Metal band and Classical orchestra. - sadslayer1993
Her shreds are definition of true metal hypersonic total mass destruction that brings doom upon the Earth and whole Galaxy. On this planet only her insane sex appeal can match her shredding talent.
The reason she isn't number 1 is because not enough people have heard her play!V 6 Comments
John Petrucci grew up on Long Island, Kings Park He started playing guitar at the age of 12 (After a brief fling at age 8 when he noticed his sister got to stay up late for her organ lessons. His little plan didnt work out being that his guitar lesson was after school, and soon lost interest. ) He quickly realized his influences and was determined to reach their level of ability. Some early influences include Yngwie Malmsteen, Randy Rhoads, Iron Maiden, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Yes, Rush etc. As the rise of thrash & metal hit John expanded his influences to include bands like Metallica & Queensryche. - sadslayer1993
He is accurate and the best in techniques.Just amazing to listen to this man
Listen to this man's work with Jonas Hellborg. He is insane. Micahel Angelo Batio and Paul Gilbert consider him one of the best who ever lived
Listen to warcry unbelievable too fast for words, so much technique and to think not on the g4 tour
One hear of the stuff he does for Outworld and you'll be convinced he's the fastest in no time.
Is this Steve Vai in this photo? He looks like Tom Araya to me in this photo. - zxm
Is this a joke?! He's the one who created guitar shredding!
He's by far the fastest guitarist out there right now, songs like Ho's Down are proof of that.
Awesome guitarist check out Born To Lead
One of the modern best.
He was one of the first shredders ever - Metal_Treasure
Fastest shredder? He isn't even a good shredder. I also don't think he is a regular shredder. - zxm
He did very few shredding. His Heartbreaker solo, which he did by rapid hammer-ons and pull-offs, which isn't even pure shredding. It set an early example. Plus it wasn't very fast. - zxm
LOL, that's why he was called "the slow hand" I guess - Metal_Treasure
Shredder...LOL - Metal_Treasure
Let There Be Rock!
@visitor - LOL, where do you hear shredding in Chop Suey? No shredding there. This song doesn't even have a solo! LOL - Metal_Treasure
Watch his chop suey video
Furious alternate picker with classical piano chops and flair. Love his work as do other guitar gods and really is a players player who never seems to lose his speed.
My favourite fast solos are City beneath the sea(4:14) (Chromacity) and Sacred Wonder (2:43) (Maximum Security) - Frank69
