Best Female Characters

The Top Ten
1 Harley Quinn - DC Comics Harley Quinn is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly as a sidekick of the Joker.

Beautiful, and strong enough to be a threat to batman hence unlike him her abilities beside strength are superhuman. In a all out fight Harley would beat batman due to her speed and agility and she has proven she is a superhuman when coming to durability as well.

Not A Fan of her She's Just Just The Most Under rated Character of all Time

Amazing, she's a perfect example for those in abusive relenships

I ship her with The Joker

2 Hinata Hyuga - Naruto Hinata Hyuga is a fictional character in the anime and manga franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto.

Hinata is the best female character. She's the best and her love for Naruto is so adorable.

It's so weird how hinata and Buttercup share the same hair style.

Hands down the best female anime character. Why is Harley Quinn above her -_- Harley Quinn is just a crazy person who's obsessed with Joker..

She's cute and kind

4 Princess Peach - Super Mario Bros Princess Peach is a major character in the Mario Bros. Franchise. She is the lead female of the The Mario franchise. She is usually the character who needs saved in most Mario Games, but also has appeared as a playable character in the Main-Series Mario Games, including Super Mario 3D World, Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Run, and even starred in her own game, Super Princess Peach for the Nintendo DS. She has appeared in many spinoff series, too, including Mario and Sonic Olympic Games, the Mario Kart series, the Mario Party series, Mario Sports Games, the Super Smash Bros. Series, and many more.

I don't think it's as much what she does but that she is memorable. Who comes to mind when you think of female Nintendo characters? Don't lie, it's peach. Sure, she's obnoxious at times, but in super smash bros she's really good.

Princess peach doesn't do anything, but whine at Mario.

5 Buttercup - The Powerpuff Girls Buttercup is the one of the three main characters in the show The Powerpuff Girls. She was first created by Craig McCracken in 1992. She has short raven hair and green eyes with a green dress. She is known as the "toughest fighter" for her tomboyish attitude, being aggressive, and her love for fighting ...read more.

How is princess peach number 2, yet buttercup number 3. Princess peach doesn't do anything but all of a sudden she gets kidnapped and waits for Mario to save her, while buttercup can defend herself and she is super strong. If buttercup were to get kidnapped, she would escape immediately.

She should be number 1, no hate on Hinata, but her looks sort of copy Buttercup. Buttercup is the strongest female character ever.

She needs to be number 1. She is awesome. She is strong and funny. She was awesome in her anime version as well.

Why are Buttercup and Miku low? I like them, they are better than most of the unknown characters at the top.

6 Hermione Granger - Harry Potter Series

She was the heroine of the HP series, even though she didn't end up with HP in the end. She ended up with Ron.

My God, she is smart, brave, down to earth, logical, and a great fighter! Show 'me what you got, her minor!

Why is Hermione Granger #12 on the list? She is pretty and intelligent and brave. 50 points to Gryffindor!

Buffy is life

9 Princess Zelda - The Legend of Zelda Princess Zelda is a fictional character in Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda video game series, created by Shigeru Miyamoto and introduced in its original entry in 1986.

Zelda isn't like peach who steals Pauline's place and is known for her clumsiness and kidnapped-ness! Zelda is more useful than Peach. Zelda doesn't scream, brag, and jump on top of Link. Zelda uses a arrow not a toad to attack. She guards the super powerful Triforce. That's a hard job! I even like Navi better than Peach! Everyone hates navi

She actually does work! She deserves to be here!

Katara is so 1900s no one even remembers her! Everyone knows Zelda!

I voted for her because I can't stand seeing Peach above her.

She should be higher!

10 Samus Aran - Metroid Samus Aran is the protagonist of the science fiction action-adventure game series Metroid by Nintendo. A galactic bounty hunter, Samus is usually equipped with her Power Suit, giving her access to weapons she uses to battle her enemies.

She's a sassy secret agent! Boys love her and GIRLS love her and she IS a girl! She is a spy robot and the only girl character who's the lead character, Zelda isn't main, the things named after her! Samus isn't a weak princess and the only girl on ssb who does something and not like katara!

The Contenders
11 Princess Leia - Star Wars Princess Leia Organa, later known as General Leia Organa, is a fictional character in the Star Wars franchise, portrayed in films by Carrie Fisher.

Beautiful, talented, very cool and interesting. She is my second if not my favorite Star Wars character. Strong in the force. I always liked her much more than Luke or Han. My favorite female character.

Best female character in her universe and ever universe. Unlike Padme or Rey she is interesting and actually beautiful.

23 Annie - Little Orphan Annie
24 Lisbeth Salander - The Millennium Series Lisbeth Salander is a fictional character created by Swedish author and journalist Stieg Larsson. She is the lead character in Larsson's award-winning Millennium series, along with the journalist Mikael Blomkvist.

I don't have any opinions but I do think there should be a spinoff well since what I can predict about stieg larsson's ideas are the 10 novels he's been working on since he died and what I can predict is if he would've been alive he'll be working on more than 10 novels after he published them

Lisbeth is one of the most interesting anti-heroes - let alone female characters - of the 21st century. She's often decidedly unsympathetic and intimidating but her personality is absolutely fascinating. Her reclusiveness, her selective interactions with certain characters, her ingenuity, her uncompromising outlook on society and life and the extremes she will go to in her personal defense keep you wanting to know more about her.

25 Ariel - The Little Mermaid
