Top Ten Flying Type Pokemon Caught and Trained by Ash
Ash seems to have a knack for training flying types. I rarely see him lose air battles. Probably because he favors speedy Pokemon and flying types are usually fast. All of his flying types have fully evolved. Also, he's won both PokeRinger competitions that he entered, in Hoenn and Sinnoh.

Staraptor, known in Japan as Mukuhawk, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. Staraptor, in my opinion, has more personality than Ash's other Normal/Flying types. He also seems to be a lot stronger, a good battler.

He is the best!
Charizard is obviously Ash's strongest flying but Swells definitely his 2nd strongest. It may not have a better moveset than Staraptor or Talonflame but then again better moveset =/= stronger Pokémon. Despite having a rather basic moveset Swellow has the best battle record of ALL of Ash's Flying-Type Pokémon being 2nd to Charizard. Swellow was primary battler in the Advanced Series, unbelievably durable for it's kind, and was a sweeper in battle ALWAYS taking out at least one Pokémon or a max of TWO before going down itself. So far none of Ash's other birds compare in that regard.
Can fade/illusion the opponent with its double team and it is fast, specially it can withstand hyperbeam twice also aerial ace and incredibly electric attacks.
He absorbed a thunder attack. That's impressive.

Gliscor, known in Japan as Glion, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. He's my favorite Pokemon of Ash's. I just love his personality! And he's really tough and determined too.

Noivern, known in Japan as Onvern, is a Pokémon species in Nintendo and Game Freak's Pokémon franchise. I can't believe the writers let him catch a Noivern (he actually raised it from an egg). So glad they did though. Noivern is destined to be a powerhouse. He evolved to take on a Zapdos!

Just like charizard taking on articuno,taloflame taking on moltres,noivern took on zapdos and it also beat doublade and it helped hawlucha

Noctowl is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation II.
It evolves from Hoothoot starting at level 20. The only shiny Pokemon in Ash's possession. He's a pretty awesome battler too.

Personally, I believ ehim to be the weakest pokemon that ash caught. just watching him compared to the others is very underwhelming to me. But we haven't seen him since season one. he is probably very strong, but we just have know way of knowing it.
