The story: Some dude went to eat to a restaurant, but he was unhappy with the potatoes which he claimed where not sliced thinly enough, this repeated itself until the chef went really angry.
So he sliced the potatoes into skinny leaf sized slices and overdosed them on salt going "Buahaha! MWAAAHAHAAHA! " Then he presented them to the complaining dude which tasted them and went "Holy they are good! Just like my mom used to make them! "
He later died because the chef had rat poison in them too, but you where not supposed to know this part where you?
Also they say the chef (in this mostly) accurate story then got the creds for "inventing" this new recipe and called them Ships at first, but over time the word got corrupted into the word Chips.
The true question here is: Did not the other guys (which did not die) mom actually invent them then? Actually it was not his mom but he was happy about them, so he made them himself... Or maybe he learned when his mom ...more
