NFL Teams Most Likely to Land J.J. Watt in the 2021 Offseason

After being released by the Texans, J.J. Watt now has a chance to play for a contending team. There are 2/3's of the league that would fill in for Watt on their roster, but after looking at it in this way here are the 10 I could see.
The voting period for this list has ended.
The Top Ten
1 Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls with 6 which currently stands today.

The favorite possibility here is the one with Pittsburgh. T.J. Watt is there ripping the league with sack after sack. Derek Watt went there as their fullback, and now add in J.J. Watt this feels like it is almost too true to fell have happen. It may not be a need Steelers would be looking for, but he can provide if either starter upfront got hurt. For this year it would make sense.

2 Green Bay Packers The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. The Packers have won 4 Super Bowls and 13 NFL championships.

Remember this, Watt played at Wisconsin. You don't think he is ruling out Packers so quickly? All they need to do is stop the run, here's a guy on the edge who could probably help in that.

I don’t know if I should get my hopes up here. Last time I did, it was for Khalil Mack, and we all know how that ended. Still, Watt to Green Bay just makes too much sense.

3 Cleveland Browns The Cleveland Browns are a professional American football team based in Cleveland, Ohio. The Browns compete in the National Football League as a member team of the American Football Conference North division. The Cleveland Browns are one of the four teams to have never been to a Super Bowl, and one of two teams to go 0-16.

Sounds close from many sources, but than again those are rumored reports too. This sounds like it would make sense considering look at all the other 30 years old players Cleveland has. For a ring, and the fit this makes a lot of sense.

I am in full support of him going to the Browns. Him and Myles Garrett would create an unstoppable combo. It could make this Browns team very scary.

4 Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Just the idea that Aaron Donald and J.J. Watt on the same team sounds crazy. Yet it might be possible since I didn't think them landing Stafford was possible too. Rams want to win now, and this would be another signature move if you moving on from Brockers to Watt wow.

5 Tampa Bay Buccaneers The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are a professional American football franchise based in Tampa, Florida. The Buccaneers currently compete in the National Football League as a member team of the National Football Conference South division.

Tampa Bay has the edge rushers, they got the best run stopping crew. You add J.J. Watt in the mix there are very scary up front to defense against.

6 Indianapolis Colts The Indianapolis Colts are an American football team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

Let's say in a revenge twist who makes sense? Why Colts of course. Sure there is also the Titans too. Colts wouldn't need to spend that much just to go get him. This would be a fascinating storyline if this occurred.

7 Kansas City Chiefs The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional American football team based in Kansas City, Missouri. The Chiefs compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

It's possible that Watt does not need a super money deal. He'll just play super cheap which works out for the Chiefs who already have a good run stopping team. Add him in as their opposite edge rusher on the side with Frank Clark oh my would they be tough.

8 Miami Dolphins The Miami Dolphins are a professional American football franchise located in the Miami metropolitan area.

Sure their pieces right now look solid, but add in a veteran if resurrected to his old play maybe it works out. Miami is nearly there, and on defense they are that close to being that great.

9 Buffalo Bills The Buffalo Bills are a professional American football team based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls metropolitan area that competes in the National Football League. Buffalo Bills had the longest playoff drought of any team which came to an end in 2017.

Buffalo struggled on defense early, but the tackling needs efficiency and this is a guy who will make sure runners go on down. I do believe that they have the talent up front, but I guess adding in a watt to an extent would make since just for a fight for the ring scenario.

10 Dallas Cowboys The Dallas Cowboys are a professional American football team based in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The Cowboys compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference East division.

Let's say Jerry Jones goes crazy for an aging veteran like Watt would not be that much of a shock seeing he would have never left the state of Texas. Not a contending team by any means, but it is possible place not to rule out.

The Contenders
11 Arizona Cardinals The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football franchise based in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Well, not what I thought of when thinking of win now teams to go to. Cardinals are right there though. Can Watt have some little bit left in the tank and help what he can with a team that has struggled stopping the run?
