Top 10 Most Surprising NFL Teams of Week 1 (2022)

Football season is back and it’s about time. I’ve missed some real gridiron action and while week 1 is always tough to get an accurate reading of teams, there was no shortage of chaos this week. So if you haven’t already go ahead and write to your families and tell them you won’t see them for several months because football is back and it’s too addicting to not pay attention to.
The Top Ten
1 Pittsburgh Steelers The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional American football team based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, that competes in the National Football League. Pittsburgh Steelers have won the most Super Bowls with 6 which currently stands today.

Stillers GAHNTA SUPA bawl! It seems Pittsburgh has some magic left in the tank after all. That defense was ferocious and relentless keeping Joe Burrow and Ja'Marr Chase in check. The offense was pretty weak but they did what they had to do in clutch moments. This is a huge win for a team not a lot of people were giving a chance to. It's a wake up call to not underestimate the Steelers and especially their defense

2 Los Angeles Rams The Los Angeles Rams are a professional American football team based in the Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Super Bowl hangover is real no? It certainly looked like the Rams were hungover or the Bills were just that impressive. The Rams looked off outside of Cooper Kupp. Cam Akers was nowhere to be found and Allen Robinson was Missing in action as well. You think they miss Von Miller? It certainly seemed that way

3 New York Giants The New York Giants are a professional American football team located in the New York metropolitan area.

The Giants had no business winning that game. Although Saquon Barkley showed us what he's capable of when he's healthy Daniel Jones tried his hardest to give the game away but the Giants prevailed snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. I don't have a lot of high expectations for the G-men but this is a good start

4 Seattle Seahawks The Seattle Seahawks are a professional American football franchise based in Seattle, Washington. The Seahawks compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference West division.

Seattle Won...? Where has this Geno Smith been? He hasn't played that well since his college days. Seattle somehow looked like a competitive football team. Pete Carroll looked like a genius in 2022 somehow. To be fair it was mostly Denver's offense being allergic to the End Zone more than anything but still Seattle held their own and played as the perfect trap game. Good work embarrassing chef Russ in the original house he built.

5 Indianapolis Colts The Indianapolis Colts are an American football team based in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Colts compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

Indy what was that? You should've won this game comfortably Houston is a cupcake opponent yet you either forgot to show up or incredibly underachieved. You're no Super Bowl contender but I expected more from you Matty Ice was off and Johnathan Taylor wasn't able to get anything going you might as well count that tie as a loss because that's damn embarrassing.

6 Denver Broncos The Denver Broncos are an American football team based in Denver, Colorado. The Broncos compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference West division.

Broncos Country Let's Ride straight into a trap game. Seahawks weren't expected to win this game whatsoever you should've blown them out of the water. I just want to know how you guys couldn't get to the end zone after like 6 million tries. Also Nathaniel Hackett made some excellent coaching calls there. So let me get this straight you have a 4th and 5 with a quarterback you just gave the big bucks to and you decide to try a 64 yard field goal. Brandon McManus is decent but hasn't made a field goal that far in his entire career. Here's a revolutionary concept why not use your quarterback to gain 5 yards? Especially considering you still had your timeouts. This game was laughable. Broncos Country Let's Ride more like Broncos Country Left Wide. I don't want to hear another word out of y'all this season not after that embarrassing performance

7 Cincinnati Bengals The Cincinnati Bengals are a professional American football franchise based in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Bengals currently compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's American Football Conference North division.

Cincinnati is the defending AFC Champions but they didn't pick up where they left off. Joe Burrow looked horrible most of the game. The Steelers defense made life miserable for Cincinnati even still the Bengals had plenty of opportunities to win this game and they failed to capitalize. Evan McPherson had some uncharacteristic misses to give Pittsburgh life. This was just a bizarre game on both ends

8 Tennessee Titans The Tennessee Titans are a professional American football team based in Nashville, Tennessee. The Titans compete in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

Tennessee what was that? You should've had this game controlled. It's the Giants after all. Daniel Jones is Daniel Jones you guys had every opportunity in the world to win this game and blew it every single time. You let Saquon Barkley run all over you to make this a game when it shouldn't have been. King Henry and Robert Woods were noticeably absent. If you're a Titans fan I'd be slightly concerned I say slightly only because of the division you're in

9 Houston Texans The Houston Texans are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The team competes in the National Football League as a member club of the American Football Conference South division.

A tie isn't a win but you have to acknowledge the Texans pulled off an upset here. They held their own against a team who should have beaten them to the ground. They kept Johnathan Taylor in check and held the Colts offense in lockdown for most of the game. I don't think anyone in the right mind saw that coming. Davis Mills looked decent and if you're a Texans fan you have to be pleased with this showing of progress against a division rival.

10 Green Bay Packers The Green Bay Packers are a professional American football team based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. The Packers compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. The Packers have won 4 Super Bowls and 13 NFL championships.

You think Aaron Rodgers misses Davante Adams? Considering he is getting ticked off at his own teammates I'd say that answer is yes. The Packers offense just felt so flat. Even with injuries the Vikings manhandled the Packers in every way. Justin Jefferson also had himself a day. Green Bay had absolutely no answers for him. These are not the same Zimmer era Vikings we saw in years past. If I'm a Packers fan I'd be somewhat concerned with that dud performance your division may not be safe.

The Contenders
11 Detroit Lions The Detroit Lions are a professional American football team based in Detroit, Michigan. The Lions compete in the National Football League as a member club of the league's National Football Conference North division. The Detroit Lions are one of the four teams to have never been to a Super Bowl, and also one of the two teams in history to go 0-16.
