This list is bands old and new that I feel are forgotten and need more attention. If you never heard of any of these bands I recommend you give them a listen. Feel free to add bands you feel are forgotten or underrated as well, but please make sure they fall under Thrash, Death or Black metal, I want to keep the list in the realm of these three genres. so no Nu metal, Metalcore, Punk or Grindcore bands. Deathgrind, Crossover Thrash and Blackened Grindcore and other Fusion genre bands are allowed.

The Top Ten

1 Angelcorpse Angelcorpse Angelcorpse is a blackened death metal band born on the ashes of Pete Helmkamp's previous band, Order from Chaos, originally from Kansas City, Missouri, and relocated to Tampa, Florida.

Angelcorpse is a Blackened Death metal band and easily the most underrated band from Florida, I barely hear anyone mention this group but I think they escaped the metal community radar. If you want a album recommendation, I would recommend Exterminate. - BlackMetalHoundoom

2 Bestial Warlust

Bestial Warlust is no longer with us but they left behind two classic Black/Death albums in the Australian metal scene, if you love bands like Intolitarian you might enjoy Bestial Warlust a lot more. I'm sure this band is more popular than most on the list. - BlackMetalHoundoom

Much like Devastation, Morbid Saint was popular back in the 80's and 90's. They seem to be forgotten by modern day metal listeners. - BlackMetalHoundoom

5 Nocturnus

Nocturnus is another band that is no longer active. These guys are from Florida and made Death Metal that was way ahead of its time back back in the 90's. I highly recommend you check out The Key of you never heard of Nocturnus. - BlackMetalHoundoom

6 Grand Belial's Key Grand Belial's Key

Grand Belial's key is a controversial Black metal band that I recommend if you only listen to Black Metal for it's music. While I don't think GBK is NS, I know how people act about bands being rumored as a NSBM band nowadays. That said GBK is a US band that has a very unique and weird sound and style that's different than the more popular Norwegian Black Metal scene. - BlackMetalHoundoom

7 Funeral Mist

Funeral Mist is a very unique Black Metal band. I would also say that it has a sound that you never hear in Black Metal these days. - BlackMetalHoundoom

8 Windir Windir Windir was a black metal band from Sogndal, Norway. The band combined black metal with folk music and mythology.

Windir is a band I can't recommend enough if you enjoy Enslaved and Folk Metal. In fact I think I prefer Windir over Enslaved. - BlackMetalHoundoom

9 Goatlord

Goatlord is very evil and eerie sounding. I highly recommend. - BlackMetalHoundoom

11 Sugar Wounds

Sugar Wounds is a modern experimental Post Black Metal band, that infuses Black metal with Grindcore, Punk and Shoegaze. They only released one E.P back in October of 2017. I must say that I have high expectations for this group. Check them out. - BlackMetalHoundoom

Sacriphyx is a very interesting Band. I would best describe them as a fusion between Bolt Thrower and Panzerchrist. The Western Front is a very underrated album. - BlackMetalHoundoom
