Top 10 Franchises from a Movie, Television Show, Video Game, Etc. that Should Retire

The Top Ten
1 Star Wars

I never really got into Star Wars but I agree with some of the people, they're milking the cows strings farther than a large corn crop, I don't know.

This is why I'm not a fan of Star Wars.

2 Family Guy Family Guy is an American adult animated sitcom created by Seth MacFarlane for the Fox Broadcasting Company. The series centers on the Griffins, a family consisting of parents Peter (Fat, Idiotic Dad) and Lois (Nagging Bitchy Wife), their children Meg (Socially Awkward Daughter) Chris (Fat, Idiotic Son), and Stewie (Sociopathic and Genuine Infant); and lastly Brian (Anthromorphic Pet Dog). The show is set in the fictional city of Quahog, Rhode Island, and exhibits much of its humor in the form of cutaway gags that often American culture. ...read more.

Who still likes this show? To me, this show is further than dead, it FADED into OBSCURITY.

Not going to say anything, I hope we are throwing Family Guy into the burning dumpster

3 The Simpsons The Simpsons is an American animated sitcom created by Matt Groening that originally started on April 19, 1987 as shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show. It got its own series on December 17, 1989 and is still running as of 2023, making it the longest running animated sitcom. It is about a man named Homer Simpson and his family (wife Marge and children Bart, Lisa and Maggie and pets, Snowball II and Santa's Little Helper) going through a long series of misadventures.

This needed to end LONG AGO, I don't even bother The Simpsons anymore, it used to be my favorite as a child but now I don't care.

4 Pokemon Pokémon, abbreviated from the Japanese title of Pocket Monsters and currently advertised in English as Pokémon: The Series, is a Japanese anime television series, which has been adapted for the international television markets. It was first broadcast in Japan on April 1, 1997, in the United States ...read more.

The new art style hurts my eyes, they dragged the same plot on and on but with different characters varying depending on the series/season. It's been 20 years and Ash hasn't aged or changed at all, physically he did, physically he looked like he has aged but this kid is still 10 years old.

5 Keeping Up with the Kardashians

Surprising that a sex tape can keep this family relevant THIS LONG. This show is the most pointless show running, all the Kardashian-Jenners' family have terrible personalities, the only members of the Kardashian clan I like are the kids/babies, North in particular.

We are not fans of KUWTK, that and the whole Kardashian/Jenner clan thing

6 Super Mario Bros.

I stopped playing their games a long time ago. All their games are the same, just updated. Same saving Peach scenario or play party games all the time. Rosalina is the only interesting character out of all of them, I wish she could have her own franchise just like Wario had.

Let everybody leave the whole Super Mario Bros. thing and do something next to gaming industry

7 Minecraft

Minecraft has died, it's not as popular as it was in 2012-2015. Roblox is much more popular now even though Roblox has been around much longer so you really can't say Roblox ripped off Minecraft. Come at me, Minecraft fan boys.

8 Harry Potter Harry James Potter is the title character of J. K. Rowling's Harry Potter series. The majority of the books' plot covers seven years in the life of the orphan Potter, who, on his eleventh birthday, learns he is a wizard.
9 Lord of the Rings
10 Game of Thrones
The Contenders
11 Transformers
12 Call of Duty

Same as Dragon Ball, we are faded away into obscurity for the next generation as might as well

Not even going to say anything. I have no words.

13 Sonic the Hedgehog

You know those obvious games that's the reason why it's on the list.

14 Gundam
15 Naruto Naruto is an anime and manga franchise Naruto, created by Masashi Kishimoto. The manga was later adapted into a television anime, which was produced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex. It premiered across Japan on the terrestrial TV Tokyo and other TX Network stations on October 3, 2002. The first series lasted 220 episodes, while Naruto: Shippuden, a sequel to the original series, has been airing since February 15, 2007. In addition to the anime series, Studio Pierrot has developed eleven movies and several original video animations. Other types of merchandise include light novels, video games, and trading cards developed by several companies.

Damn, why did hypocrites whine about the current franchise and its manga/video game counterparts?!

16 Spongebob Squarepants SpongeBob SquarePants is an American animated television series created by marine biologist and animator the late Stephen Hillenburg for Nickelodeon. SpongeBob is currently the most popular show on Nickelodeon, as well as the longest running show, running for 23 years, and is beginning its 13th season. The show revolves around a sea sponge called SpongeBob SquarePants and his adventures under the sea. The show is considered to be one of the best Nickelodeon and cartoon shows of all time.

Not happy with the long running show, but we are going to cancel this and The Simpsons to give young future generation kids whine

17 Terminator

It's gone on long enough.

18 Saw

Let Jigsaw rest in piece.

19 Child's Play

We didn't need more than 4 right?

20 Alvin and the Chipmunks Alvin and the Chipmunks is an American animated television series featuring The Chipmunks, produced by Bagdasarian Productions in association with Ruby-Spears Enterprises from 1983 to 1987, Murakami-Wolf-Swenson in 1988 and DIC Entertainment from 1988 to 1990.It aired from 1983 to 1990 on NBC and is the follow-up to the original 1961–62 series, The Alvin Show.

Disgusting kids stuff

21 Total Drama Total Drama is a Canadian animated comedy television series which is a homage and parody to the conventions commonly found in reality television.
22 Pixar Pixar, also referred to as Pixar Animation Studios, is an American computer animation film studio based in Emeryville, California that is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. Pixar began in 1979 as the Graphics Group, part of the Lucasfilm computer division, before its spin-out as a corporation in 1986, with funding by Apple Inc. co-founder Steve Jobs, who became the majority shareholder. Why are not fond of All CGI studio anyway? Pixar Animation Studios anyone?

23 Final Destination
24 Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
