Top 10 Franchises with the Most Confusing Sequel Titles
Inspired by the Angry Video Game Nerd's "Chronologically Confused by Sequel Titles" episodeI see. The Legend of Zelda does have a lot of games in the franchise.
This series makes Metal Gear look like Kirby.
This awful series is confusing as heck.
A great, but overly complicated series...
First there was Rocky followed by Rocky II, Rocky III, Rocky IV, Rocky V then they name the sixth installment Rocky Balboa instead of calling it Rocky VI what the hell why do they feel the need to use Rocky's full name for the sixth movie then we have Creed being followed by Creed II.
This isn't just confusing in terms of titles, but also in terms of chronology.
Halloween has three different timelines, all starting with the Halloween from 1978.
Full list (In terms of chronology):
Timeline 1
Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween IV
Halloween V
Halloween: The Curse Of Michael Myers
Timeline 2
Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween H2O: 20 Years Later
Halloween: Resurrection
Timeline 3
Halloween (1978)
Halloween (2018, it's not sure if they're going to change the title).
Miscellaneous:
Halloween III (In name only, doesn't have anything to do with ANY of the the timelines).
Halloween (2007 remake).
Halloween II (2009, has nothing to do with the H2 from 1981).
And now, the Halloween franchise in order of release (remake counted):
Halloween (1978)
Halloween II (1981)
Halloween ...more
Gal*Gun 2 is technically the 4th game in the series.
