Top 10 Frequent Number 1 Items Most People Seem to Agree With

Based on my observations I selected Number 1 Items without many heated arguments - basically where not many people disagree. Highest spots were taken by items with the least disagreements I've noticed.
The Top Ten
1 Tom Hanks - the Best Actor Thomas Jeffrey "Tom" Hanks (born July 9, 1956) is an American actor and filmmaker. He is known for his roles in Splash, Big, Turner & Hooch, Philadelphia, Forrest Gump, Apollo 13, Saving Private Ryan, You've Got Mail, The Green Mile, the Toy Story Franchise, Cast Away, The Da Vinci Code, Captain Phillips, and Saving Mr. Banks.

I think he's just OK. My favorite male actors right now are Jake Gyllenhaal, Christian Bale, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Tom Hanks bots are at it again.

2 Pele: The Best Soccer/Football Player of All Time Edson Arantes do Nascimento, known as "Pelé", was a Brazilian professional footballer who played as a forward. In 1999 he was named Athlete of the Century by the International Olympic Committee and was included in the Time list of the 100 most important people of the 20th century. In 2000, Pelé was voted World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS), and was one of the two joint winners of the FIFA Player of the Century.
3 Lose Yourself - the Best Eminem song

I disagree. I would put a lot of other songs first, like Stan, When I'm Gone, The Way I Am, Sing for the Moment, Love the Way You Lie, Like Toy Soldiers, etc.

I'm a metal fan but I like this song.

4 Iron Maiden - the Best NWOBHM band Iron Maiden are an English Heavy Metal band formed in Leyton, East London, in 1975 by bassist and primary songwriter Steve Harris. The most critically acclaimed period for the band was from 1983-1989. With vocalist Bruce Dickinson, bassist Steve Harris, lead guitarist Dave Murray, rhythm guitarist Adrian ...read more.

NWOBHM - New wave of British heavy metal

5 Wayne Gretzky: The Best Hockey Player of All Time Wayne Douglas Gretzky CC is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and former head coach. He played 20 seasons in the National Hockey League for four teams from 1979 to 1999.

You know What? I'm sick of hearing this! You can't just plainly state that Gretzky is the best Hockey player of all time. I get it, his stats are intensely amazing, he made it look so easy to score goals. He was the greatest player of HIS TIME, but we're in a completely different time now. The goalies nowadays wear way more padding than they used to, making it way harder to produce goals. So there is no way to accurately compare stats. Also nowadays Hockey is way more popular, therefore more talented players are being drafted each year. What I'm trying to say is, if you took Gretzky from his prime years and put him in the NHL now. He wouldn't look nearly as good. I personally think Connor McDavid is the best Hockey player of all time. Watch him on the breakaway, he so fast. Watch Gretzky on the breakaway, he looks like a sloth compared to McDavid. I'm not saying Gretzky isn't special, what I'm saying is Gretzky was the first legendary player(And that is a very great thing to be). But ...more

Not many would disagree with that

6 Pizza - Best Junk Food
7 Muhammad Ali: Greatest Boxer of All Time

Most people who are not familiar with the sport automatically think about Muhammad Ali when they think about boxing and given his reputation for being the best boxer of all time, I'd say most people seem to agree with this.

8 Michael Jackson: the Best Pop Artist Michael Jackson (Michael Joseph Jackson; August 29, 1958 – June 25, 2009) was an American singer, dancer, and songwriter. He passed away from cardiac arrest caused by a propofol and benzodiazepine overdose on June 25, 2009. He donated (at least) a remarkable 500,000,000 dollars to charity. Michael is also known as The King of Pop (a title given to him by Elizabeth Taylor) or under the initials MJ. Dubbed the King of Pop, he is regarded as one of the most significant cultural figures of the 20th century. ...read more.

Not everyone would agree but most people would

He is the king of Pop, no question about it.

Of all the items here, this is the one which is TRULY uncontended

I agree with this. 100%!

9 Freddie Mercury - The Greatest Singer of All Time Freddie Mercury (born Farrokh Bulsara, 5th September 1946 - 24th November 1991) was a Zanzibari-born British singer of Indian descent, songwriter and record producer, known as the lead vocalist and songwriter of the British rock band Queen. He also became known for his flamboyant stage persona and four-octave vocal range. Before he became a singer he has been in 3 other bands (Ibex, Sour Milk Sea, and The Hectics). He died on November 24, 1991 from bronchopneumonia as a result from HIV/AIDS

This item wasn't added by me - it was added by a Freddie hater just to create an opportunity for himself to make multiple hate comments as a visitor. I'm pretty sure the same guy added the item "Queen" for the same reason.

Every time I've heard someone mention Freddy Mercury someone goes on about how good of a singer he is, and rightfully so in my opinion, he had a great voice.

Voting for this doesn't mean you dislike Freddie, all that it means is you think most people think he's the best singer ever. And I'm on of those people.

I agree - ABSOLUTELY! As much as I adore Freddie, he's not in the same league as the very experienced, classical/operatic male singers.

10 Queen - The Greatest Band of All Time Queen are an English rock band formed in London in 1970. The original lineup was Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), and John Deacon (bass guitar, vocals). Before forming into Queen, Brian May and Roger Taylor had played together in a band named Smile. Freddie Mercury was a fan of Smile and encouraged them to experiment with more elaborate stage and recording techniques. He then joined the band in 1970, suggested "Queen" as a new band name, and adopted his familiar stage name. John Deacon was also recruited to complete the line-up. ...read more.

This wasn't added by me because I think for most people either The Beatles or Led Zeppelin is the greatest band (due to popularity contest). Queen is just the real greatest band. The Beatles and Led Zeppelin have always been overrated.

A lot of people do seem to agree with this. It's not rare to hear people call them the best rock band of all time.

Not even my favourite band, but I honestly think they are the greatest of all time.. It's my opinion

I disagree highly. They've sat well in the rock n roll community, but most of their material just doesn't really suit me.

The Contenders
11 The Dark Side of the Moon - Pink Floyd: The Best Album Cover

Hmm, this one not so much. Always a top 10 contender, but several other choices for #1.

I can name plenty of album covers that are better than this.

12 Justin Bieber: The Worst Singer Ever

While I'm not a Justin Bieber fan, I don't think he's even a bad singer. Whenever I hear one of his songs, I always wonder why his music is so hated. People hate Justin Bieber simply because it's cool, and the hatred he gets has nothing to do with whether or not he's a good singer.

Seriously! He is not the worst singer ever! He has a great voice. The reason why I dislike him and everyone else does, is because the way he uses his voice.

I'm not his fan but I'm sure he is NOT the Worst Singer Ever. I've heard much worse singers than him.

This website has some sort of grudge against Bieber it seems.

13 Hallowed Be Thy Name: the Best Iron Maiden song

Yeah, not too many people would disagree with this. I'm one of them, though. "Run to the Hills" for me. In fact, Hallowed wouldn't be in my top 10.

Great song, but there are several Iron Maiden songs I like more probably - Fear of the Dark, Alexander the Great.

Rime Of The Ancient Mariner for me, although this is just as great.

I prefer run to the hills.

14 Eminem - the Best Rapper Eminem, born Marshall Bruce Mathers III, is an American rapper, actor and music producer born on October 17, 1972 in St. Joseph, Missouri. Eminem has sold over 300 million records making him the bestselling hip-hop artist of all time. In addition to his solo career, he is a member of D12 and (with Royce da 5'9") half of the hip-hop duo Bad Meets Evil. Rolling Stone ranked him 83rd on its list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time, calling him the King of Hip Hop. Including his work with D12 and Bad Meets Evil, Eminem has had ten number-one albums on the Billboard 200 and 5 number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100, and 13 worldwide.

Not very high on this list because he's got serious contenders and some people disagree with his status as the Best Rapper.

15 Bruce Dickinson - The Best Metal Frontmen Ever

Through his amazing voice, his attitude on stage, his charisma... I always tought Bruce Dickinson was above the other metal singers. Don't know if you guys agree

Him and Freddie Mercury.

16 Yoko Ono: The Worst Singer Ever Yoko Ono is a Japanese multimedia artist, singer, songwriter, and peace activist who is also known for her work in performance art, music, and filmmaking. Singer-songwriter John Lennon of the Beatles was her third husband.

I don't know if she's the worst singer ever (I've heard wannabe "artists" and such that are on her level), but she's definitely the worst singer to ever become famous.

17 Adolf Hitler - Most Evil People

Hitler is definitely the most evil man ever.

You mean most evil person

18 Star Wars V: The Empire Strikes Back - The Best Star Wars Ever
19 Michael Jordan: The Best Basketball Player of All Time
20 Appetite for Destruction - Guns N' Roses - The Greatest Debut Album

Led Zeppelin, It the Court of the Crimson King, The Doors, Unknown Pleasures, Black Sabbath, Are You Experienced, The Velvet Underground & Nico, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn - there are many great debut albums.

Among the popular albums - yes. But there are many metal debut albums that can beat Guns N' Roses in quality. Unfortunately, only some metal fans know those metal debut albums.

21 Jimi Hendrix - The Greatest Guitarist of All Time Jimi Hendrix (born November 27, 1942 - September 18, 1970) was an American rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music, and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music". Hendrix is consistently ranked on lists of musicians who died too soon.
22 The Godfather - The Greatest Movie of All Time
23 The Dark Knight - Best Superhero Movie

Heath Ledge could also be included on this list in some capacity as his performance in the film is pretty much the reason people put this movie in such high esteem.

24 The Beatles - Most Overrated Band of All Times
25 Victim of Changes - the Best Song On Judas Priest's Sad Wings of Destiny

Usually fans don't have doubts
