Top Ten Friendliest U.S. States

The Contenders: Page 3

41 New Hampshire New Hampshire

This state has many residents originally from Massachusetts, and many of them are not too friendly, especially in the southern part of the state and large cities. The northern rural areas are friendlier. - alg2468

42 Alaska Alaska Alaska is a U.S. state situated in the northwest extremity of the Americas. The Canadian administrative divisions of British Columbia and Yukon border the state to the east; it has a maritime border with Russia to the west across the Bering Strait.
43 Arizona Arizona

Lovely, live-and-let-live folks outside the bigger cities. People look out for one another here, but aren't nosy or meddlesome. Tucson is backward, insular, anti-growth and stuck in the past. Phoenix is big and can feel impersonal, but the suburbs are nice.

44 Connecticut Connecticut

This state has very rude unfriendly people in the large cities, which are very depressed economically, but friendlier people in the eastern half which is more rural. - alg2468

A lot of miserable angry people who let it out when they drive.

45 Delaware Delaware Delaware is one of the Mid-Atlantic states located in the Northeast megalopolis region of the United States.

Nice people.

46 Vermont Vermont
47 Nevada Nevada Nevada is a state in the Western, Mountain West, and Southwestern regions of the United States of America. V 1 Comment
48 Rhode Island Rhode Island Rhode Island, officially the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations, is a state in the New England region of the United States.

You have mean and nice people in Rhode Island - it depends on who you meet and where. It has a bad reputation because it's a small state. The media does not stress it's natural beauty and focuses on its corrupt politics. Generally people in the smaller cities and rural areas are friendlier than in the large cities, and if you are friendly and say hello most do respond kindly. This state does not deserve to be ranked as 49th; it should be about average.

Probably the rudest people of all. Rhode Islanders are proud to be arrogant.

49 Mississippi Mississippi

This is the hospitality state! Should be the first one! Such friendly people and everyone knows everybody.

Extremely friendly people.

I lived in Mississippi all my life. Great people! We help everyone warm we can.

I live in MS. Extremely few rude people. Everyone knows each other.

Probably some liberal democrat doing your reviewing.

Tax's and insurance way too high and people not that friendly.
