Alestorm is a heavy metal band originally from Perth, Scotland. Their music is characterized by a pirate theme, and as a result they have been dubbed a "pirate metal" band by many critics and their fanbase. If pirates would make metal, then they would be Alestorm, great music, great humor! Sometimes you can picture whole movies with their songs, 'cause they are so atmospheric and descriptive. I also like other bands like Korpiklaani, Megadeth, Tenacious D, Gloryhammer, Green Day, Bloodhound Gang... but Alestorm, as far as combination of music and humor go are far the best from the bunch in my opinion
I had no idea pirate metal was a thing before I found out about Alestorm. But their most recent three albums are just the most fun thing to ever come out of the seven seas!

Primus is an American funk metal band based in San Francisco, California, currently composed of bassist Les Claypool, guitarist Larry LaLonde and drummer Tim Alexander. Les Claypool is regarded as one of the best bassists of all time for his slap-bass ability in notable songs like "My Name Is Mud", "The Toys Go Winding Down", and "Jerry Was a Racecar Driver". They somehow even managed to make their music sound funny.
