4 Alestorm Alestorm is a heavy metal band originally from Perth, Scotland. Their music is characterized by a pirate theme, and as a result they have been dubbed a "pirate metal" band by many critics and their fanbase.

If pirates would make metal, then they would be Alestorm, great music, great humor! Sometimes you can picture whole movies with their songs, 'cause they are so atmospheric and descriptive. I also like other bands like Korpiklaani, Megadeth, Tenacious D, Gloryhammer, Green Day, Bloodhound Gang... but Alestorm, as far as combination of music and humor go are far the best from the bunch in my opinion

I had no idea pirate metal was a thing before I found out about Alestorm. But their most recent three albums are just the most fun thing to ever come out of the seven seas!

The singer is dreadful but they are really very funny (folk/pirate metal).
