Top Ten Funniest Sitcom Characters of All Time

The Top Ten
1 George Costanza - Seinfeld

so glad he's first on this list, Jason Alexander is such a talented actor and his character is hilarious. I think people can relate to his misfortunes too.

Should be #2, next to Kramer.

Should be in top 5

2 Chandler Bing - Friends Chandler Muriel Bing is a fictional character from the NBC sitcom Friends, portrayed by Matthew Perry.

Chandler is honestly the best man, how can he even be compared, his timing, sarcasm, classiness,... Oh god, I can go on and on. If you take a survey of people who have watched friends, I promise you, Chandler's character must have had a really huge effect on their sense of humour, just like me

Chandler is my all-time favorite character. I love his sarcastic humor, timing, and ability to laugh at himself.

He's so silly funny hilarious His jokes are so hilarious! He has humor
Funniest guy ever

He is on the top. Could this be any more obvious. He is the lord of sarcasm

3 Michael Scott - The Office Michael Gary Scott is a fictional character on NBC's The Office, portrayed by Steve Carell and based on David Brent from the original British version of the program.

Everything about this show is hilarious. And at the center is this man. Without him it would be a flop.

He's a very funny character.

World's best boss ever

4 Sheldon Cooper - The Big Bang Theory Sheldon Lee Cooper, Ph.D., Sc.D., is a fictional character in the CBS television series The Big Bang Theory, portrayed by actor Jim Parsons.

Thanks to Jim Parsons for portraying his character so amazing. Love you Sheldon!

5 Dwight Schrute - The Office
6 Barney Stinson - How I Met Your Mother Barnabus "Barney" Stinson is a fictional character portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris and created by Carter Bays and Craig Thomas for the CBS television series How I Met Your Mother.

Truly the funniest of all time. I love Barney and the way he can get any woman he wants. So funny.

Only 4% votes to Barney Stinson this means that 96% people are not so awesome.

7 Kenneth Parcell - 30 Rock
8 Cosmo Kramer - Seinfeld

As far as I can remember Kramer was the greatest T.V. characters of all time along with Al Bundy.. Sheldon Cooper and chan chan man don't come anywhere near

It is very difficult to choose between Chandler and Kramer. But Richards is a better actor

9 Jean-Ralphio Saperstein - Parks and Recreation

He faked his own death for what?

10 Ron Swanson - Parks And Recreation
The Contenders
11 Karen Walker - Will & Grace

By far one of the greatest T.V. characters of all time. Drunk, high, and overflowing with quippy one-liners that Megan Mullally lands like an expert comedic pilot. Nothing comes close to the way Karen Walker interacts with the scene around her, and I doubt we'll see a character done this well in a while.

12 Joey Tribbiani - Friends Joseph Francis "Joey" Tribbiani, Jr. is a character from the NBC sitcoms Friends and its spin-off Joey, portrayed by Matt LeBlanc.

How you doing...

13 Homer Simpson - The Simpsons Homer Jay Simpson is the protagonist of the American animated television series The Simpsons as the patriarch of the eponymous family.

Honestly, he's at 14 because of the live-action-to-animation bias.

14 Dee Reynolds - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
15 Liz Lemon - 30 Rock
16 Archie Bunker - All In The Family Archibald "Archie" Bunker is a fictional character from the 1970s American television sitcom All in the Family and its spin-off Archie Bunker's Place, played by Carroll O'Connor.
17 George Lopez - George Lopez
18 Lois Wilkerson - Malcolm in the Middle
19 Hal - Malcolm In The Middle
20 Cam Tucker - Modern Family

Cam stands out in this excellent cast of characters.

"Excuse me. Meryl Streep could play Batman and be the right choice."

21 Max Lopez - George Lopez
22 Dr. Perry Cox - Scrubs

Him and Chandler Bing make me bust out laughing constantly.

Dude he is hilarious!

23 Elaine Benes - Seinfeld
