Best Game of Thrones Warriors

Includes characters in the TV series and those who fought in Robert's Rebellion
The Top Ten
1 Arthur Dayne

Literally won every single 1v1 fight according to the books, technically won 1v4 against Eddard Stark and hist team but got stabbed in a back.

Ned Stark, the fan favourite of Season 1 and someone who held his own against Jaime Lannister when he had his right hand, fought Ser Arthur Dayne with five other highborn/noble soldiers (including Lord Howland Reed) and got his arse handed to him on a 'fallen star steel' plate.

Arthur Dayne carried the sword Dawn, forged from a fallen star. Killed the Smiling Knight. Taught Jaime Lannister in the art of sword fighting and Barristan Selmy considered him as his superior.

2 Jaime Lannister Jaime Lannister is a fictional character created by American author George R. R. Martin. He is a prominent point of view character in Martin's award-winning A Song of Ice and Fire series, and also a main character in HBO's adaptation of the series, Game of Thrones.

Arguably the best warrior in Westeros before his hand was chopped off. Cut down loads of knights to get to Robb Stark during the Northern Rebellion. Beat Barristan Selmy in a tourney sometime after Robert's Rebellion.

Young talent, he was the best before he got kidnapped. Probably the best young swordsman of all time.

Only Dayne and Selmy could match him (before his maiming of course)

3 Barristan Selmy

If Arthur Dayne was alive, he would be the best. But he isn't so I say Selmy. He mat be dead in the show, but very much alive in the books, if I remember correctly.

Was still a force to be reckoned with in old age. Greatly admired by Jaime Lannister, Robert Baratheon and Eddard Stark.

He stayed the first couple seasons, if he isn't the best warrior he's damn close.

4 Robert Baratheon

Was the best in his prime, probably like Gregor Cleagane and even better. But when he was the king he did absolutely nothing and died to an animal.

In a the A Feast For Crows, jamie lannister says there are three men who would best him in their prime; Arthur Dayne, Selmy Barristan and Robert Baratheon. He also goes on to state that there 3 men who are physically stronger than him; Both Clegane brothers and again a young Robert Baratheon

Wielded a war hammer which he could thrust through full armour in one strike in his prime. Killed Rhaegar Targaryen and was a greatly feared monstrous force on the battlefield. Slew all warriors who crossed him during his rebellion.

5 Jon Snow Jon Snow is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.

One of the bravest fellas, always fighting for the good no matter the cost. This habit alone makes him one of the best fighters/warriors. People seem to neglect the fact that, unlike a lot of others, he is not even in his prime yet but just a boy who is still developing. It's beautiful we are getting to see his journey (so far).
Bonus: Maybe the only person to give the Night King something to be concerned about.

He's a beast in sword combat and has proved himself worthy more than enough times. He has had to fight on the battlefield countless times and has managed to come out alive out of every single battle he's in. He killed a very great amount of soldiers in the "Battle of the bastards" and he has has killed many great fighters in combat including; Styr, Qhorin Halfhand, and Karl Tanner to name a few. He has to be azor ahai and has a major role to play in the wars to come. By the time the show has concluded I highly think he will be the greatest fighter to have ever lived in westeros.

6 Khal Drogo Khal Drogo is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Marton.

Never lost a fight amongst the Dothraki. Can take on men with swords with his bare hands due to his tremendous agility.

Never lost, brutal and efficient.

7 Oberyn Martell Oberyn Martell is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.

Strong but stupid, won Gregor Cleagane in a fair 1v1 but was so dumb that he lost while "The Mountain" was lying on a floor.

8 Syrio Forel

Took down 4 heavily armoured Goldcloaks with nothing but a nice brown shirt and a wooden training sword. The First Sword of Bravos is not a title to scoff at, and his "death" offscreeen makes me think he'll return one day.

He defeated Three armoured men with a wooden sword. What about that?

He beat three Kingsguard with a stick how much better can you get.

9 Sandor "The Hound" Clegane Sandor Clegane, nicknamed The Hound, is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.

Snow, and Ned are above this monster? Snow and Ned are both above average fighters, but neither are as well known for being fighters as well as the hound. The hound should be in the top 5

10 Eddard Stark Eddard "Ned" Stark is a fictional character in the first book of George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels and the first season of its television adaptation.

With the help of Howland Reed, Ned killed the legendary warrior Arthur Dayne. In the T.V. series Ned pretty much equalled Jaime in sword fighting skills. Killed other good fighters during Robert's Rebellion.

The Contenders
11 Rhaegar Targaryen

Described as a good but not outstanding fighter by Barristan Selmy and said to be Robert's greatest victory during his rebellion, good enough to injure Robert during the fight.

12 Gregor "The Mountain" Clegane Ser Gregor Clegane, nicknamed The Mountain, is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.

Thing is, he's actually not that good of a swordsman. The only reason he wins is because of his physical size, toughness and strength. If he was the same as his brother or any other normal soldier, he would be cut up into mince meat within a few minutes.

Biggest and strongest warrior in world of ice and fire.

13 Brienne of Tarth Brienne of Tarth is a fictional character in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels. She is a prominent point of view character in the fourth novel, A Feast for Crows, and a main character in the television adaptation.

She literally beat the Hound, yet is down here in the 16th place. The Hound was equal in strength to the Mountain by the end of the series, and the Mountain was an immortal Zombie. You're telling me Jon Snow, who had far less combat experience than all of those people, would be stronger than Brienne of Tarth? I think not.

14 Brandon Stark
15 Arya Stark Arya Stark is a fictional character created by American author George R. R. Martin. She is a prominent point of view character in Martin's award-winning A Song of Ice and Fire series, and also a main character in HBO's adaptation of the series, Game of Thrones.

I love how she right from the start thinks she is the toughest warrior around while effectively making it through luck and or help and gradually leveling up to being a credible fighter.
By the end she was hands down one of the deadliest humans in Westeros.

Are kidding me?! Why is the person who killed the night king down here?

16 Bronn Bronn is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.

Saved Tyrion Lannister, was one of the best fighters in this TV-Show, sadly after that 1v1 we didn't see more of his fights.

17 Tormund Giantsbane
18 Daario Naharis Daario Naharis is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.
19 Stannis Baratheon Stannis Baratheon is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.
20 Grey Worm
21 Robb Stark Robb Stark is a fictional character in the A Song of Ice and Fire series of fantasy novels by American author George R. R. Martin, and its television adaptation Game of Thrones.
22 Jorah Mormont

Did you all forget this champion knight here? He have beaten once Jamie Lannister in a sword sparring in the book. One of westeros' finest knights and swordsmen. The only enemy he has not beaten yet is the friendzone.

23 Hot Pie

He once saw a knight kill another knight in flea bottom. He likes armor. What more do you need?

24 The Night's King
25 Hodor
