Top 10 Games to Play If You Like Uncharted
Uncharted is one of the most highly praised and best selling Action/Adventure franchises of all time, being a pinnacle series for the PlayStation, Sony and its developer, Naughty Dog. I for one have enjoyed each game quite well as well as many others.After playing through these games again, I realized some similarities between these games to other games I like, so I wanted to share what I think will be some great games for Uncharted players to check out.
This was an obvious one, both series have a protagonist that search through tombs, find treasure, parkour and shoot up bad guys. Tomb Raider tends to focus on the puzzle aspects more while Uncharted focuses on the cinematics
I mean if you're an Uncharted/Naughty Dog fan and haven't played this game, what are you doing? Go play it!
I mainly included this because the writer for the Legacy of Kain games, Amy Henning, eventually moved on to write the story for the first 3 Uncharted games.
Either way these games are a very good story driven single player games with unique mechanics and interesting lore.
Oddly enough when playing through Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, this was the first game it reminded me of. Like the atmosphere in both games had this mysterious feel, and eventually became more dreadful as the game progressed.
The big difference for this one is while both are very story driven and have a lot of parkouring, Prince of Persia uses a melee combat system instead of a TPS one like Uncharted. If you're good, this game allows you to do some very interesting combos with the melee mechanics.
Another Naughty Dog franchise worth getting into, especially if you're already familiar with the company through Uncharted.
Grab a buddy with this one. This game focuses on more co-op gameplay but it thrives in it's linear narrative that helps keep the game flowing at a consistent rate. Plus there's little fun side things you can do throughout.
The latest God of War was indeed a fantastic game that sparked new life into an otherwise pretty solid franchise. In this one, there is a much more heavier focus on story. Honestly, this a game that every Sony fan should at least play, including Uncharted fans.
If you mainly just want another solid, single player, story driven TPS, then try this one. It's obviously follows more into the horror game route, but even then, fans of Uncharted could probably find some enjoyment in this one.
The sequel to Soul Reaver that you should probably play once you beat the other, it continues right where the first game left off.
Just like Warrior Within, this game features the parkour/climbing aspects of Uncharted with a melee combat system, although not as advanced. It is still a great single player game that I recommend.
Of course! You definitely should play the game that put Naughty Dog on the map, it's two other sequels as well.
