Games that Should Be Revived, Re-Released, Remade, or Spiritually Succeeded
Many games from generations past have been praised by gamers of all ages, but some of these games and franchises haven't seen a re-release or new entry in a while. These games are the ones we think should be revived, re-released, remade, or even get a spiritual successor for a new generation of gamers. This list is intended to cover completed and released games and game franchises that have not been re-released or had a new entry in a while, so please do not add unreleased games to this list. The Video Games that Shouldn't Have Been Cancelled or Shut Down list is for that purpose.
I'll eat my shorts if we get a complete remake of the trilogy and it gets an American release.
Mother 3. Strangely, nobody ever talks about Mother 1, but that too.
It already has a sequel.
Need a sequel
With the success of Jurassic World, Capcom should have noticed that and considered giving Dino Crisis a redo, considering this game's commercial and critical success during its time. And let's be real, its been 15 years since we last had a Dino Crisis game, one that had nothing to do with the previous entries.
Also, I think it really is time Dino Crisis deserved a new game, or at least a remake at this point, as Resident Evil 2 is having one. Also, Capcom has stated on Twitter that a new entry is possible, "if a lot of people wish".
While I do like Kirby Squeak Squad personally, I have to say that while it introduced the fun ability bubble mix mechanic, in terms of gameplay and story, it's probably one of the weakest installments in the mainline Kirby franchise. Seeing as Kirby's Adventure and Kirby Super Star got remakes (although the former's remake Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland had the same graphics as Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and Kirby Squeak Squad), it wouldn't hurt to see Kirby Squeak Squad get a 3D HD remake on either the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Switch while also trying to improve upon the game's weak points and building off of what made it fun at the end of the day.
Give this game a second chance, buff the bosses, redesign some levels, and give it 3d graphics and BOOM! Squeak squad becomes one of the best Kirby games of all time.
This game really needs to be remade, so we can experience Spyro 4 in its true original form.
The game has a lot of potential underneath it's awfully buggy gameplay
No matter what one would say about the actual gameplay, the character creation was hilarious enough to basically warrant another Spore game
I think Thrive is trying to do this.
I've never played the first Epic Mickey nor the Power of Illusion spin-off, but I've only played Epic Mickey 2 and only even got the copy since my sister wanted it so much. And honestly, I feel sorry for how this one of a kind Disney video game franchise never reached its full potential. The first game, while flawed with its poor camera angling and poor frame rates, did seem fun and had an innovative gameplay mechanic with using paint and thinner to paint or thin out obstacles, paths, and enemies respectively. And it did a good job at bringing back the forgotten Oswald the Lucky Rabbit character. Too bad The Power of Two failed to fix the poor camera angling and poor frame rates of the first game and didn't sell well enough. It's especially sad since I liked that they incorporated singing and full voice acting into The Power of Two. At the very least, now that Junction Point Studios is dead, I hope Disney may one day either do a remake of the first Epic Mickey or give us the much ...more
This game should stay dead!
I think Pikmin 3 can wait a few months...
Come on man give it to us
This game NEEDS a remake, it was such a great game. I imagine swinging around in the botw world as a gorilla. It would be dope!
Umm Silent hill did get a continuation
Silent hill 2 is my favourite horror game ever made
I can't believe how underrated this idea is.
Pokemon Snap was such a great idea, I never played it, but watched videos of it and thought it was adorable and creative. Now that we have SO MANY new Pokemon, they could try having levels with pokemon that go from Bulbasaur to Zeraora. Now, that, would be a great sequel.
I haven't played this game, but after the reviews I've seen of this game, a remake would make complete sense. Now I don't judge a game by graphics, since I prefer Pac-Man, Frogger, and Donkey Kong Country over any xbox game. I judge a game for its legit pros and cons, and the reviews of this game showed that it had a lot of cons. Seeing very stupid glitches left and right in the reviews, I was amazed that they even released this game on the market. The glitches in Sonic 06 and Big Rigs weren't that bad. A remake of Bubsy 3d could be worth playing, if it was made correctly. A remake to this game would be one remake that would be truly better than the original. A remake to this would have more meaning than remakes of things that didn't need remakes(Crash Bandicoot).
First Bubsy 3D: Furbitten Planet (1996), then Bubsy 3D: James Turrell Retrospective (2013)... but still no Bubsy 3D: The Good Edition?
We need to give it another chance.
You know, I got to say. I've always wondered why Nintendo hasn't given F-Zero a new game in a long time. If they could revive Kid Icarus and turn it into an incredible 3DS game, who's to say F-Zero wouldn't be a stellar racing game combined with 3D fighting combat on the Nintendo Switch?
No game since the gamecube... WHY Nintendo why
The one I most agree with
Absolutely adorable and hilarious, enough said
She also would fit in quite well with the No Doubt cult and could make for a quite interesting new take on Guitar Hero if enough effort was put into her next game (which I VERY sincerely doubt when talking about the creator of THESE games, but still)
