Top 10 Accidental Joke Characters in Video Games
These characters clearly aren't SUPPOSED to be Joke Characters, but they still are Joke Characters
Despite how much of a scary monster he is supposed to be,
this guy has a fighting style that is so weak and was designed so badly that it actually makes Dan Hibiki's completely-intentionally bad fighting style look like a good one (in fact, transforming himself into someone else quite-literally is one of THE only properly useful things that Twelve is able to do in this game)

Kraid was actually harder to beat than Ridley in the NES Metroid

Despite how much Third Strike far-too-clearly wants its players to think that this character being mysterious makes him interesting, nearly every aspect of him is hilariously "just okay" at best; he looks like (and is) a completely generic and obvious "creepy secret agent" caricature, his theme song quite-nearly is the game's most boring and annoying one (behind China Vox, Beats In My Head, and The Circuit), his "personality" and "backstory" are almost-entirely non-existent, and he even quite-arguably is a "joke tier" character in Third Strike's gameplay due to the fact that he is RIDICULOUSLY slow and uses attacks that nearly all of are EXTREMELY telegraphed "charging directly toward his opponent" attacks that make Balrog's look like high art

His moves were required for specific areas like places with black bricks or places requiring the metal cap. Also he made the Bully stars in Lethal Lava Land and Snowman's Land much easier.
He barely has any agility when compared to Mario, Luigi and Yoshi,
and the game's combat is so easy that his strength largely is pointless

Despite how much Earthbound far-too-clearly wants its players to think that this guy is an amazingly powerful warrior that its main party absolutely cannot live without, he very-largely is pointless due to Ness, Paula and Jeff being the other three members of said party at the point in the game at which he joins it. He basically is a completely un-interesting extra set of Health Points, Brute Strength Points and Psychic Points that happens to be stereotypically Asian, have an enemy-copying ability that is almost-entirely useless outside of exactly one of the game's levels (the Stonehenge Base), know how to use the almost-entirely useless PK Star Storm, be able to equip an extremely rare and un-needed "sword of kings", and not like certain types of food. Meanwhile, Paula is the actual main psychic attack user of the game's main party while Ness is the actual main healer/brute of said party and Jeff largely is the actual most powerful character in said party due to the tools/inventions ...more
He gets the Mirror ability which has its uses.

Despite the fact that this thing is supposed to be a terrifying and incredibly intelligent beast, it has AI that barely even is better than the AI that Super Metroid's Space Pirates have and is a HILARIOUSLY easy and pathetic "final" boss
While he definitely is a completely intentional comic relief character in the game's storyline, he becomes a VERY different "beast" in its gameplay; despite the fact that his offense boost (30%) actually is larger than his defense reduction (20%), the Advance Wars franchise makes having a good amount of defense so important that the effect of his defense reduction immensely outweighs the effect of his offense boost and largely makes him completely useless when compared to most of Dual Strike's other characters (hell, even Flak and Jugger at times)

He generally is a hilariously weak and easy boss in Mario's platforming games, and in Mario's role-playing games, he constantly is surrounded by far more evil and competent villains that make him look absolutely pathetic even if you ignore how easily Mario is able to beat him in fights
