Top 10 Most Annoying Video Game Bosses

The Top Ten
1 Yellow Devil - Megaman 1

This boss is infuriating. His one and only "attack" is really annoying and repetitive and I find it hard to dodge the whole pattern, then when he is finished, you have to quickly shoot his eye or he'll just start "attacking" again. Not to mention that his eye tends to appear in a different spot each time making it even more annoying. Plus, one of the most infuriating things has got to be, you barely damage him. Even if you use his weakness electric, it will barely do anything.

2 Hermit God - Realm of the Mad God
3 Shao Kahn - Mortal Kombat Shao Kahn is a boss, announcer, and recurring playable character from the Mortal Kombat fighting game series. Introduced in Mortal Kombat II in 1993, he is the primary antagonist of the video game series and extended franchise.

I hate him so much.

4 Jack Krauser - Resident Evil 4
5 Gyorg - Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask

In the 3ds version, you have to shoot him while he is in the surface and then hit his eye, but it gets worse in the 2nd phase where you have to change to Zora form and hit the spiky balls to him when he is sucking things up. And it gets even worse when you try hitting him underwater, but the minions annoying you so much.

I had to pick the first one that came to my mind and Gyorg was the first one. You start out by TRYING to throw boomerangs at it. Once you FINALLY do, you need to go underwater, attack it, swim onto the island as fast as you can, otherwise you take damage! And you aren't even done yet.

They said on Nintendo Direct that the were going to overhaul the Gyorg fight. I was wrong to assume they'd fix it for the better. Now it's not just an annoying fight, but a annoying gimmick fight.

I hate fish forever now. Gyorg is annoying.

6 Million Gunman - No More Heroes 2
7 Moldorn - Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past

Dear god, if I could fight this thing in real life, I would hunt it down to that horrible castle that it calls a home, kick link into that pit, steal his sword, then stab it right in it's obviously exposed eyeballs!

If you beat this boss without falling, 2 things. 1: E-mail me, 2: GET A LIFE!

8 Silver - Sonic the Hedgehog (2006)

I'm only playing to unlock his story, I think that's why it was so easy for me, because I knew that I would unlock his story...

9 Giga Lakitu - Super Mario Galaxy 2
10 Yakuza - Metroid Fusion
The Contenders
11 Jasper Batt Jr - No More Heroes 2
12 Whitney - Pokémon Gold and Silver
13 Sans - Undertale Sans or Sans the Skeleton is a character in the 2015 RPG Undertale created by Toby Fox. He is a lazy, pun-loving skeleton who is a supporting protagonist in the "pacifist" and "neutral" routes of Undertale, and a heroic antagonist/final boss of the "genocide" route. He is known for his incredibly difficult boss fight, bad puns, and the phrases "geeetttt dunked on!!!" and "you're gonna have a bad time." He is also named after the font "comic sans." Known for also being Ness from the Mother series. (known as Earthbound in Western territories.)

Everyone just LOVES this boss, but I find it rather annoying... I mean, he uses these annoying, hard attacks, and one almost-impossible-to-survive-just-on-its-own final attack, and he keeps on dodging your attacks. To make it even worse, if you have made it so far in the battle, and show him mercy, he will "Dunk" you.

It took me 50 times to beat him...

He is a freaking skeleton who dodges like every attack he is the goat

14 Atoq Navarro - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
15 Demyx - Kingdom Hearts 2
16 Yiazmat - Final Fantasy XII

50,000,000 HP, tons of instant death attacks, he can fully heal, and at half his health he'll prevent you from doing more than 6,999 damage to him at once. However, you can leave the arena and fully heal your party and continue the fight where you left off.

17 The Imprisoned - Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
18 Little Horn - Super Meat Boy
19 Flame Hyenard - Mega Man X7

THIS. BOSS. FIGHT. IS. AWFUL. I HATE IT SO MUCH! Where do I even begin? Not only is the level itself uninspired, boring, and a waste of time, but the boss fight is horrible! It starts by having you be on a platform fighting 2 other Flame Hyenards while trying to get on top of the giant robot that the original Flame Hyenard himself is riding, and let me tell you, if you want to have an easy time fighting Flame Hyenard and his copies, play as Zero. His saber swings make the fight noticeably less painful. Oh, did I mention that this boss fight is REALLY ANNOYING?!?! ALL HE SAYS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE BOSS FIGHT, IS "BURN TO THE GROUND!" REPEATEDLY! This boss fight, for me, takes the cake.

20 Disciple Lorithia - Xenoblade Chronicles

This boss made me so upset! I didn't die once, but my party members kept on dying, the acid kills any party member with dumb AI, and the element things can go DIE! The worst part? I wasn't even under leveled! I was like 3 levels above her, and she still managed to give me trouble!

Ugh! I hated that fight! I didn't lose once, but my party members kept dying

21 Undyne the Undying - Undertale Undyne is a main character in Toby Fox's 2015 RPG, Undertale. She is the heroic fishlike captain of the Royal Guard, who takes it upon herself to protect the monsters of the Underground. Her name is derived from the word "Undine", and is a pun on the word "Undying". Her most loved monsters are her mentor, King Asgore, her best friend, Papyrus, and her love interest, Alphys.
22 Chef Antoine - Dead Rising 2

Not only do firearms do next to no damage to him. But also heals himself. It took me a god damn hour to beat him.

23 Wiggler - Super Mario 64 (DS) Wigglers are a species of caterpillar in the Mario franchise. They have a segmented body and comically large nose and are yellow slowly moving when happy, but turn red and run angrily very quickly if they get jumped on
24 Duon - Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Okay, a two sided boss. Cool concept, but the execution will MURDER you. This boss has two sides. The sword side can slash you, but the Projectile side is bullet hell. I HATE THIS BOSS.

25 Seymour Flux - Final Fantasy X

All reasons as to why I hate Seymour to beyond death aside, I can safely say that he also has some of the worst boss fights in not just Final Fantasy (If not THE worst), but of all time, especially his Seymour Flux form. Seymour's main attack in this fight is to use Lance of Atrophy which automatically inflicts zombie on that party member, which is then followed by Full-Life which instantly kills that party member. Not only that, but he has his Mortiorchis "sidekick" with him who heals Seymour after a few turns unless you hit it a few times, which then it will leech some of Seymour's health. As the battle progresses, Seymour will cast both Protect and Reflect on himself and start using two new moves. One of them is Cross Cleave which - without extensive grinding - deals around 2500hp to all party members and his *groan* Total Annihilation move which can easily kill everyone in your party unless you prepared for it which takes about 2-3 turns to charge up. Make sure you do a ton of ...more
