Top 10 Most Generic Cartoon Characters

Cartoon Characters that are pretty uninspired or somewhat unoriginal. Let's be honest there's quite a few that meet those requirements. Good or bad is not what I'm not trying to rank these characters by. But rather unoriginal they are.
The Top Ten
1 Captain Hero - Drawn Together

A generic Superman parody that's not even somewhat funny.

That is one of the laziest names for a super hero

2 Chloe Carmichael - The Fairly OddParents

A generic Mary Sue that is painful to watch...

3 Benson - Regular Show Benson Dunwoody is a main character on Cartoon Network's Regular Show. He is a gumball machine, also known as The Park's manager. As the manager, he is the boss of every park worker (with the possible exception of Pops). He has a short temper and has a tendency of yelling at Mordecai and Rigby every time they slack off. Benson made his debut in J.G. Quintel's animated short "2 in the AM PM", where one of the cashiers (voiced by Sam Marin) transformed into a prototype version of Benson after being drugged from candy. He then made his first appearance in the pilot. In the short film The Naive Man from Lolliland, proto-Pops calls his chauffeur Benson, however in the film, Benson appears to be a ...read more.

He's just another generic angry blowhard character that gets old pretty fast.

4 Margaret - Regular Show

Honestly she was and still is a boring character that only served as a love interest for Mordecai. She's bland and dull overall.

5 Princess Clara - Drawn Together

Generic Ariel parody that's also a stripper... enough said.

6 Candace Flynn - Phineas & Ferb Candace Gertrude Flynn is a main character of the Disney Channel animated television series Phineas and Ferb, voiced by Ashley Tisdale and created and designed by Dan Povenmire.

Her character's just a generic portrayal of every other female teenager except slightly more annoying. I'll gladly defend P & F until my death but I won't defend Candace...

7 Francis - Fairly Odd Parents

Seriously, he's such a one-dimensional bully. I get it's supposed to be a part of his character, but when it comes to most generic bully characters in animation, Francis is the biggest one of them all. I'd say only Flats the Flounder from SpongeBob is as shallow as Francis. At least Buford from Phineas and Ferb had a backstory for how he became a bully and even SPERG from Billy and Mandy had a moment of pity in his first episode debut. As for Francis, he's a bully and that's that. No background, no motivation, no nothing. Honestly, he's one of the only side characters I'm glad doesn't appear in later seasons of the show.

He's one of the most generic bully characters ever written in history. Plus he has no motivation to hurt Timmy what so ever other then he likes torturing kids!

8 Heidi - South Park

She honestly serves as nothing more than a generic love interest for Cartman not going in more depth.

9 Scrappy Doo - Scooby Doo Scrappy Doo is the nephew of Scooby Doo. Unlike his uncle Scooby, Scrappy is brave enough to face the monsters.

He's mainly just a mini verison of Scooby Doo except with a higher pitch voice which makes him all the more generic.

Two words: The Scrappy. Another two words: Trope Namer.

10 Wolfgang - Hey Arnold

Just like Francis he's a generic bully but with nothing remotely interesting that sticks out about him.

The Contenders
11 Ashley Spinelli - Recess
12 Ronin The Accuser - Guardians of the Galaxy

One dimensional villain

13 Rocko - Rocko's Modern Life Rocko is the eponymous fictional character of the cartoon Rocko's Modern Life and the comic book series of the same name. He is an Australian anthropomorphic wallaby who immigrated to the United States. He works at a comic book store, lives next to annoying neighbors, and is friends with the gluttonous ...read more.
14 Doug Funnie - Doug
15 Superman - Superman: The Animated Series
