Most Generic Super Mario Bros. Characters

The Top Ten
1 Lemmy Koopa The youngest of the seven original children of the Koopa King. Lemmy has always been fascinated by the circus and acrobatic acts and so he's made it his life's calling. Lemmy dreams of showing the world his incredible physical feats and never passes up a chance to gain a captive audience. Though he clearly suffers from a degree of mania and is therefore unpredictable, Lemmy is far and away the least... read more

Number one! Seriously? He has so much personality and character! Does not deserve the top spot! Also I can't believe no one added Pink Gold Peach until I do! She is a queen of being generic and lame!

Koopalingfans always talk about the koopalings' slightly different looks and "special names." I don't care for looks and names. I care about behavior and actions. This is where the koopalings fail. I the old days those seven were just reskins meant to recycle boss battles due to technological limitations. There's a reason why they look interchangeable. This is blatant when you look at Roy and compare him to Morton. Nowadays, honestly, the koopalings are no different. When people think koopalings, they think "Oh, Lord. Time to fight the same uninspired thing seven times." This is one of the main reasons why people see them as filler.

Wait a second. Seven small, physically similar characters who act on a specific trait...oh, my God. The koopalings are ripoffs of the seven dwarfs from snow white. in fact, Morton, Iggy and Ludwig can be renamed Dummy, Crazy and Smuggy.

2 Metal Mario Metal Mario is a character that appears in both the Mario series and the Super Smash Bros, where he made his first appearance in the Nintendo 64 version. He's pretty similar to Mario when using a Metal Cap, but instead of being a transformation, Metal Mario is his own character.

Of course, he's the clones mother

3 Baby Rosalina Baby Rosalina is an infant version of the major character from the Mario Bros . Franchise, Rosalina . She first appeared in Mario Kart 8 as a playable character and is now one of 5 baby characters in the roster, alongside infant versions of Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, and Princess Daisy .
4 Baby Daisy Baby Daisy is the infant version of the major character in the Mario Bros . franchise, Princess Daisy . She is known for her appearances as a playable character in Mario Kart Wii and Mario Kart 8 . She is also found as a playable character in Super Mario Sluggers for the Wii .
5 Koopa Kid

People on this site go on and on about how horrible the Koopalings are while he is way more tolerable just because there is only one of him. WHAT? That makes him a better character because there is one of him? That makes no sense because Koopa Kid has three color swaps so there is not only one of him! He sucks because he has a more generic design than Bowser Jr and Koopalings and he has absolutely no character while Bowser Jr and the Koopalings do. Lemmy and Larry should not be at the top. Koopa Kid and Boom Boom should be higher.

This character is horrible, I'm glad he's not in newer Mario Party's and I even see some people say he's better than Junior like what? this ugly version of Junior is horrible, Junior is at least cute and has personality

Ok how is he loewr than Larry and Lemmy? At least those two HAVE some personalities, Lemmy is goofy and Larry a a cheater and loves video games, Koopa Kid has ZERO character!

6 Pink Gold Peach Pink Gold Peach is a character who debuts in Mario Kart 8, where she appears as an unlockable playable character.
7 Larry Koopa Larry Koopa is the youngest koopaling. He first appeared in Super Mario Bros 3, which came out in 1990. He is known for his blue mohawk hair. He was created by Nintendo.

Larry is not as generic as he seems. Dry Bowser, Pink Gold Peach, Metal Mario, Boom Boom, Koopa Kid, Goomba, the babies, Waluigi, Pom Pom and Dry Bones are more generic than him. He actually has character development in some games. Koopa Kid and Metal Mario have nothing. He is nervous, lazy and hates being scolded at. He does not want to work for Bowser and fight Mario but does it because he does not want to be hated on by Bowser.

Larry is a generic character who deserves to die. Come on, Nintendo, at least make his encounters with Mario and co. more creative than just jumping around and shooting magic! In addition to his tediousness as a boss, his physical appearance and personality aren't too great either.

Lemmy has something thank god Larry nothing and Morton has nothing too

8 Baby Luigi Baby Luigi is the infant version of the major character in the Super Mario franchise, Luigi. He is known for his appearances as a playable character in various Mario games.

He is my favourite mario baby though (aside from Baby Wario)

9 Boom Boom

Boom Boom is a million more times generic than the Koopalings! Unlike the Koopalings, he has absolutely no character and is an even bigger filler boss than the Koopalings! Why do the Koopalings get all the hate while he does not?

Boom Boom did get ninja powers in 3D World such as invisibility, teleportation and creating fire. He also spoke in Aces. So he did receive some development...and he's not a rehashed gang of seven.*cough*koopalings*cough*

At least the Koopalings got Character development in Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam. What does Boom Boom have?

10 Peachette
The Contenders
11 Waluigi Waluigi is a lanky self-centered, brusque young lad as he is considered evil and the main rival of Luigi. Waluigi is shown causing local havoc in most games he appears in alongside his partner Wario. Waluigi is not instinctively evil or the antagonist (not counting DDR), as a matter of fact, he shows great compassion for his fellow peers, typically for characters Daisy and Wario. Waluigi is also described... read more

People who think he's sexy are stupid. He's crippled deformed and looks like he has anorexia. Waluigi is a wimp. No wonder Nintendo doesn't use him for anything but a go to filler character. They don't want to use a Wimp in the game

He's not generic, not at all! He has a mischeavous personality and loves sports. Not generic, might be the worst of Mario, Luigi, Wario and him, but still excellent

Overrated and ugly.

12 Wendy O. Koopa Wendy O. Koopa is a female villain in the Super Mario Bros. franchise. She is the only female member of the Koopalings and is usually found assisting Bowser on his wicked plans with the rest of the Koopalings. She first appeared in Super Mario Bros. 3 in 1988 and since then has been a reappearing foe in the Super Mario Bros. and New Super Mario Bros. series. She has also appeared as a villain in the... read more

She's not generic! She has lots of character! You all only hate her because of her appearance!

I have neutral feelings for Wendy, but I seriously hate most of her creepy brothers.

13 Dry Bowser Dry Bowser is the fossilized version of the main antagonist of the Mario Bros. Franchise, Bowser. He first appeared in New Super Mario Bros. on the Nintendo DS after Bowser had been dumped into the lava and was left with his skeleton. Since then, Dry Bowser has appeared as a villain in games like Super Mario 3D Land, New Super Mario Bros games, and similar titles. He also appears in some Mario Spinoff... read more
14 Pom Pom

Somehow better than Boom Boom

Somehow worse than boom boom

15 Yoshi Yoshi, once romanized as Yossy, is a fictional anthropomorphic dinosaur who appears in video games published by Nintendo. Often appearing as a sidekick and helper to Mario, Yoshi is most known for his appearances in the Yoshi's Island and the Super Mario franchises.

While Yoshi doesn't have much personality going for him, he does make up for it by either being helpful, having cool abilities, being fun to play as, or just being a pretty likable guy.

His games suck.

16 Boo
17 Roy Koopa Roy Koopa is one of the seven Koopalings. In the DIC cartoons Roy is called Bully Koopa. Roy has a tough guy demeanor, but wears pink which is most likely a reference to real men wear pink. Roy also wears hot pink sunglasses and from an angle it looks like he has no eyes.

Boom Boom in sunglasses. Yawn.

18 Toadsworth

He's really just a guy who makes sure Peach is safe and that's it, a bit generic

19 Luigi Luigi, originally a palette swap of Mario named Green Mario, is a major character featured in video games and related media released by Nintendo. Created by prominent game designer Shigeru Miyamoto, Luigi is portrayed as the slightly younger, taller fraternal twin brother of Nintendo's unofficial mascot Mario, and appears in many games throughout the Super Mario franchise, often as a sidekick to his... read more

Nothing to her that Peach doesn't already have

Just Peach but fat and more boring

Better than the other mario girls

22 Dry Bones Dry Bones is a common enemy species in the Super Mario series of video games since „Super Mario Bros. 3“ (1988). After his first debut as a playable character in „Mario Superstar Baseball“ (2005), he became a fan-favorite and also got playable in other spin-offs of the Mario series.
23 Peach Princess Peach is a major character in the Mario Bros. Franchise. She is the lead female of the The Mario franchise. So generic that people complained about them in the paper mario games

25 Goomba Goombas, known in Japan as Kuribo, are a species of sentient mushrooms from Nintendo's Mario franchise.

This is the most basic enemy in the entire series. What do you expect?

It's just a mushroom, but I still love him, I mean I even have a plushie of him so enough said
