Top 10 German Power Metal Songs
I didn't add Blind Guardian's symphonic metal masterpieces (Wheel Of Time, Sacred Worlds) because it's a different subgenre - close to power metal but different. 'And Then There Was Silence' has some symphonic arrangements but for me it's epic progressive power metal.
Even though the song is fourteen minutes long, it's still probably the best Blind Guardian song.

A song originally released in 1989. I am so happy they re-recorded this song circa 2011 for the album Memories of a Time to Come. Overall, it sounds much better and even Kai Hansen vocals are better on the new version. Wow, 22 years later they made a better version.

Hansi Kursch is a guest musician and sings several lines after the guitar solo. I love Sammet and Kursch individually but when can hear their voices in one song - it's what many people call eargasm.
