Yes, they were originally a glam band, but glam band with more metal i.e. Judas Priest and Metallica influences. They played music with least glam elements when Phil joined the band, but even the first album with Phil, Power Metal contained some glam songs (Rock the World, We'll Meet Again, Hard Ride)
