Top 10 Glam/Hair Bands that are Metal According to Encyclopaedia Metallumchristangrant Glam is a tricky genre but one thing that is a common misconception is that every band considered "Glam Metal" is metal even though that isn't true some bands aren't metal because they don't play metal riffs but Hard Rock riffs (Ex. Poison, Cinderella, Warrant, Bon Jovi, Ratt) But some Glam bands do play metal however most of the time these songs aren't well known, and because they play metal riffs they are on Encyclopaedia Metallum and these bands are on the website.

Twisted Sister early stuff wasn't glam at all.Their debut album Under the Blade is very heavy. Is heavier that anything Iron Maiden has ever done for example.Very fast songs, the fastest song is Tear it Loose. It sounds like a thrash metal song to me,like something that Metallica would have done. The sound is 100% metal.Dark lyrics too. They got an more mainstream sound in years but still kept their metal roots. - HEAVYMETALTHUNDER12345
