Good Albums with the Worst Covers

You shouldn't judge a book by its cover: sometimes really good music albums are packed in covers that make you wonder if the designers were out of their minds.

The Top Ten

1 Lost In Forever - Beyond the Black V 1 Comment
2 Kollegah - Kollegah
3 Asphalt Massaka 2 - Farid Bang
4 Volta - Bjork
5 Humanoid - Tokio Hotel

This could've looked so cool if designed a bit better and with a bit more detailed use of CGI. It just looks cheap this way. Plus it doesn't at all fit the album's mood, which is still more emo-ish. A great album by a great band, but the cover looks like a missed opportunity at least, considering the artwork in the booklet looks pretty amazing and cyberpunk-ish.
It's not the worst cover though. But still not a good one. - Martin_Canine

6 Boss Der Bosse - Kollegah

The cover is boring but one detail is hilarious... they forgot to edit the sky out of the reflection in the windshield... - Martin_Canine

7 Goku-Tama Rock Cafe - An Cafe
8 Graffiti Bridge - Prince
9 Diamond Cut - Bonnie Tyler
10 Tommy - The Who

I know what's the idea behind this cover and it's great but the artwork always reminds me of something completely different - blueberry pie. - Metal_Treasure

12 Ropin' the Wind - Garth Brooks

14 Garth Brooks - Garth Brooks
