Lyrics aren't everything in a song, but bad ones stand out. Especially when the bands singing them have pretty much nothing else wrong with them.

Their lyrics are meaningful, but they can be pretty corny. Adam Gontier crooning on and on about pain and suicide is good sometimes, but it can be a little bit hard to listen to sometimes. - AngryByrd

Their fist three albums are good, but lyrical standard is completely nonexistent! Some songs pull the lazy "repeat the same line over and over again for the chorus" gag, and some songs seriously use gibberish as lyrics. - AngryByrd
