13 Artcell (Best Asian Progressive Metal Band) Artcell is a Bangladeshi progressive metal band formed in October 1999. According to The Daily Star, a leading English national daily, Artcell is "one of the leading bands of the country".

I don't know why DarkenedBrutality said they aren't heavy metal. Well, they aren't heavy metal for sure cause they don't play heavy metal. They play progressive metal and rock. And they didn't plagiarize any song. And they are also on the metallum encyclopedia. And Metal_Treasure said that metallum encyclopedia aren't wrong. They didn't add Avenged Sevenfold but they did add Artcell.

And King Crimson is a very soft band comparing to their music. Because Artcell plays their solos very fast and heavily. You can search for the chords if you like. No band would fail to play metal if they play their music at that rate.

They sound more like some King Crimson ripoff who failed at being a heavy metal band than something good. No offense, but I looked everywhere for that one song zxm told me to listen to, and I couldn't find it anywhere.

I know there isn't any category about this. But I know this band works hard. They worked madly for their albums. Especially for 2nd album. And they deserve it.

Zxm, no problem - I said that many new categories can be created and this one is absolutely OK. By the way I had in mind to include Asian metal bands. And I agree Artcell are probably the best.

With their first two albums, Kill 'Em All and Ride The Lightning reaching underground success, their third effort, Master of Puppets has since become one of the most important heavy metal albums ever, as it became the first thrash metal album to be certified platinum. The title track has since become the band's most played song live. ...read more.

@LightningBlade - you are right Megadeth should be higher (they are on the list - Best thrash band). They are low now because the list is new and hasn't had enough remixes and votes to get Megadeth higher. The goal of the first items I added was to list many categories that voters can use further by replacing the names. I honestly expected Megadeth to be added quickly and I personally focused on more obscure bands/categories. No disrespect to Megadeth, you can see they are in my Top 10 twice.

Not even close. Overkill, Exodus, Kreator, Slayer, Annihilator, and Venom are all better.
