95 Wham!

Wham! changed the course of pop forever

George Michaels can do no wrong

love them

Come on. If these boys didn't define the face of 80s music.. I don't know who did. It is easy to forget (with the absence of the techno sound that dates the likes of Depeche Mode and Duran Duran) that this was the 80s. Last Christmas of course being the seasonal classic even today. Guaranteed dancefloor fillers: Club Tropicana, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, super cool base intro to Edge of Heaven. George Michael.. such cool moves and such a heart-throb.. who knew.

96 Culture Club Culture Club

I have no idea why culture club is not even on this list. They were the first European band to have three hit singles in the United States since the Beatles. Most people would like to forget about culture club and boy george but when ranking the best artists of the 80s, culture club has to be taken into consideration.

They changed lives, I know they did mine!

And in my heart the fires still burning

Why isn't this band in the top 10?

97 Hall & Oates Hall & Oates Daryl Hall and John Oates, known more commonly as Hall & Oates, are an American musical duo from Philadelphia.
