It is easy to forget (with the absence of the techno sound that dates the likes of Depeche Mode and Duran Duran) that this was the 80s. Last Christmas of course being the seasonal classic even today. Guaranteed dancefloor fillers: Club Tropicana, Wake Me Up Before You Go Go, super cool base intro to Edge of Heaven. George Michael.. such cool moves and such a heart-throb.. who knew.

Most people would like to forget about culture club and boy george but when ranking the best artists of the 80s, culture club has to be taken into consideration.
