"Why Me? "

163 Missing Persons

Tight musicality and great trail blazing for the likes of Gwen Stefani and Lady Ga-Ga!

Dale Bozzio is still delivering a great show in 2015...They are coming back!

Who could forget "Sex" and "Pleasure Victim"?

This is my favorite Secular Band11

164 Minutemen

One of a very very small number of the bands on this list that actually belong on this list.

Wrote one of the best punk rock albums of all time with double nickels on the dime, should be top ten for sure.

165 Moody Blues Moody Blues The Moody Blues are an English rock band. They first came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music, but their second album, Days of Future Passed, which was released in 1967, was a fusion of rock with classical music and established them as pioneers in the development of art rock and progressive ...read more.

They had a huge blockbuster in "Your Wildest Dreams", followed by "I Know You're Out There Somewhere". Some of the other bands listed opened for the Moodies back then. They lead the pack in musical style, sticking to their own sound. Formed in 1966 they are still going strong with touring and Justin is putting out a new solo album this month, Feb 26, 2013. There aren't many bands that can claim a number one album/song in so many decades.

Four words "Knights in white satin" enough said.

166 The Replacements The Replacements

This list is a travesty if this band isn't at least in the top ten. Anyone who knows music knows Let It Be, Tim, and Pleased to Meet Me are as good as anything The Beatles or Zeppelin did.

Literally is a crime to put bands like Huey Lewis and the news before a band as great as the replacements. Should be #1 then the pixies, and then sonic youth.

What a joke, they should be in the top ten, anyone who doesn't think so doesn't have ears

Not even close. Best band of the '80's by a long shot.

173 Roxy Music Roxy Music

Flesh and Blood was a great record and Avalon is one of the finest albums ever released. Bryan Ferry's albums Boys and Girls and Better Noire (during the Eighties) are two of the best albums ever! His '77 solo record In Your Mind is incredible as well!

May have started in the 70s but where still great in the 80s, always able to create their own style. And came into the 80s showing the kids they inspired just how things should be done, Flesh and Blood and Avalon underrated masterpieces

They should be rated higher on this list!

174 Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of Robert Plant (Vocal), Jimmy Page (Guitar), John Paul Jones (Bass, Keyboard) and John Bonham (Drums). The band's heavy, guitar-driven sound, rooted in blues and psychedelia on their early albums, has earned them recognition ...read more.

216? Wow. Unless you are saying their influence was over the by 1980s...

Stairway to heaven people!

10 years Mr. Krabs! They'll be number 1!

There are few other bands so influential than Zepplin.

175 Overkill Overkill Overkill is an American thrash metal band, formed in 1980 in New Jersey. They have gone through many line-up changes, with singer Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth and bassist D.D.
176 Y&T

One of the most underrated rock bands.. Great melodic sound. Great vocals and talented song writing...

Y&T is the most underrated hard rock band! Dave Meniketti not only can sing any type of song, but is sorely overlooked when it comes to lead guitarists. Y&T never disappoints live!

THE most underrated Rock band! Dave Meniketti's voice is like no others. Very talented guitarist...and just a straight forward hell of a nice guy! Talk about a band that actually cares about their fans! Top of my list when I think of "Top 80's bands"

177 Yokosuka Saver Tiger
178 Luna Sea
