The "leader" of the Axis nations. Masterminded and led every offensive against the Allies. And a damn good rival to the military prowess of our Soviet Russia. The rest (except Japan) are backstabbing cannon fodders.

Germany was the major axis, and the country that we most recognize when we talk about axis powers... They did a lot of conquering and annexing, they were able to roll over so many countries in such short time...

Germany really was really the only good one in the axis alliance, due to the fact that they only captured countries apart from the Japanese empire, also they had really powerful tanks, like the tiger and had good tatics

There was nothing "great" about Germany during WWII.

2 Japan Japan is an island country in East Asia in the Pacific Ocean. It lies off the eastern coast of the Asia Mainland (east of China, Korea, Russia) and stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and near Taiwan in the southwest. ...read more.

Legally Finland wasn't an Axis country (even though we had our own SS-battalion). But Finland and Germany united to fight the Soviet union and reclaim lost territories. Unfortunately the invasion went south and the Soviets took back the territories Finland just reclaimed. Although we lost the war, our brave soldiers succeeded in defending our freedom.

Finland in WW2 raises one those historical dichotomies, when good is bad and bad is good. Russia invaded Finland, in fact Russia should shoulder part of the blame for the start of WW2, joint invader of Poland, invader of the Baltic states. The classic"your enemies enemy is your friend, and fit this into the complecated patchwork of Europe

Finland isn't in the Axis Powers as far as I know of. Only co-operated with Germany to reclaim Karelia and delivered a damn good fight against Soviet troops.

5 Romania

Has an underrated role amidst the calamity in Europe. Supplied oil to the Nazi war machine which helped keeping them running and had sent millions of troops to the Eastern front.

90% of oil the axis powers used was Romanian oil
