The Top Ten

1 Germany Germany was formally united in 1871 under the initiative of Bismarck with King Wilhelm of Prussia as emperor. The previous 'Holy Roman Empire', basically a continuation of the empire of Charlemagne/Karl der Grosse was dissolved in 1806. more.

The "leader" of the Axis nations. Masterminded and led every offensive against the Allies. And a damn good rival to the military prowess of our Soviet Russia. The rest (except Japan) are backstabbing cannon fodders. - Bolshoy_Brat

Germany was the major axis, and the country that we most recognize when we talk about axis powers... They did a lot of conquering and annexing, they were able to roll over so many countries in such short time...

Germany really was really the only good one in the axis alliance, due to the fact that they only captured countries apart from the Japanese empire, also they had really powerful tanks, like the tiger and had good tatics

There was nothing "great" about Germany during WWII.

2 Japan Japan is an island country in East Asia in the Pacific Ocean. It lies off the eastern coast of the Asia Mainland (east of China, Korea, Russia) and stretching from the Sea of Okhotsk in the north to the East China Sea and near Taiwan in the southwest. more.

Because they were more tougher than the Nazis were and was the last axis power to surrender and they would fight till the last man

Japan sucks it killed many chinese

3 Italy Italy, in italian Repubblica Italiana, is a unitary parliamentary republic in Europe. more.

Italy hardly did anything they invaded Greece but they got wrecked by the allies in Sicily 1943 - dog398

Italy was possibly the worst, actually. Their only major victory was against Ethiopia, they were beaten by the French in their attemped invasion, and they had to have the Germans help them conquer the Balkans... - DieGedankenSindFrei

4 Finland Finland, officially the Republic of Finland, is a sovereign state in Europe. It has a capital of Helsinki and got independence from the Soviet Union after WWI.

Finland was an axis country but wasnt bad. Finland had those camps but still a great country

Finland isn't in the Axis Powers as far as I know of. Only co-operated with Germany to reclaim Karelia and delivered a damn good fight against Soviet troops. - Bolshoy_Brat

Legally Finland wasn't an Axis country (even though we had our own SS-battalion). But Finland and Germany united to fight the Soviet union and reclaim lost territories. Unfortunately the invasion went south and the Soviets took back the territories Finland just reclaimed. Although we lost the war, our brave soldiers succeeded in defending our freedom. - Kronolith

Awesome only reason they lost cause they lost German support in the invasion of the Soviet Union

5 Romania

Has an underrated role amidst the calamity in Europe. Supplied oil to the Nazi war machine which helped keeping them running and had sent millions of troops to the Eastern front. - Bolshoy_Brat

90% of oil the axis powers used was Romanian oil
