Top Ten Greatest Cartoon Dogs

The Top Ten
1 Snoopy Snoopy is a character in comic strip Peanuts. He first appears in the strip from October 4 1950. He often sleeps on the top of his dog house. He belongs to Charlie Brown. He was created by Charles M. Schulz. He also appears in all the specials and the 2015 Peanuts Movie.

Snoopy the best dog ever if you don't know who he is then your crazy! He's from the peanuts!

You are the best dog in the world to see you. I will not be a little too.

Best and cutest cartoon dog ever! I just love him!

Snoopy is the best animated dog ever!

2 Scooby-Doo Scooby Doo is a famous fictional dog character from the show Scooby-Doo Where Are You? He is the protagonist of his series .

Scooby Doo has the most episodes and shows for any animated dog! What else do we have to say.

Almost all of these dogs except for Brian Griffin are awesome but Scooby, Scrappy, Hong Kong Phooey, and Goober [the star from the show Goober and The Ghost Chasers who should be on this list] are my childhood heros!

Scooby Doo is the best T.V. show with a dog in it

3 Brian Griffin Brian H. Griffin, popularly known without his middle initial as Brian Griffin, is a fictional character from the animated television series Family Guy.

An ARE rated snoopy and he has very sarcastic subtle humour. Unlike Scooby who's something of a scared clueless idiot with an equally annoying nephew.

So according to this list, this jerk is a better dog than Odie, Pluto, Goofy, Courage, Clifford, and Santa's Little Helper. Not a funny joke people.

I'll take his vote results. We all have in comment like master smart skills and stick with smart people.

Should be no. 1

Heres my list

Brian Griffin
Courage the Cowardly Dog
Ladybird (King of the Hill)
Santa's little helper
Snoopy

4 Courage the Cowardly Dog

Scooby-Doo comes first but my boy Courage is the second best! He is so adorable and despite being so cowardly, he is actually very courageous!

Family guy got old... I hate that the creators are trying to push their political beliefs... Anyways this cartoon is my favorite... Really...

No one can beat this coward, still going to any length to save his mistress dog that had made generations entertainment.

The most legendary cartoon of the 90s. This cartoon will always number 1 for me plus the faces he makes are flipen funny... Oh and the noises.

5 Pluto Pluto, also called Pluto the Pup, is a cartoon character created in 1930 at Walt Disney Productions. He is a yellow-orange color, medium-sized, short-haired dog with black ears.

His face is actually on the dwarf planet PLUTO.

6 Odie Odie is a fictional dog who appears in the comic strip Garfield by Jim Davis. He has also appeared in the animated television series Garfield and Friends and The Garfield Show.

I love snoopy, but I love odie too. He's the cutest puppy, cuter than nermal! He has also a very nice personality, Odie would be an interesting star of the comic.

I'm surprised Jim Davis hasn't already made a spin-off comic strip where Odie's the main character.

This dog deserves his own spin-off comic!

7 Santa's Little Helper
8 Clifford

Clifford is cute

9 Goofy Goofy is a funny-animal cartoon character created in 1932 at Walt Disney Productions. Goofy is a tall, anthropomorphic black dog with a Southern drawl, and typically wears a turtle neck and vest, with pants, shoes, white gloves, and a tall hat originally designed as a rumpled fedora . Goofy is a close ...read more.

He doesn't exactly count as a dog to be honest.

10 Ren Hoek

This hilarious version of peter lore is the example of a great cartoon dog. Voiced by the cartoonist and creator, John K, this character had some of the best scenes in cartoon history (what I'm gonna do speech, space madness scene, YOU EEDIOT! ). show kind of jumped the shark when John K got fired, but regardless, ren is one of the best cartoon dogs in history

The Contenders
11 Blue (Blue's Clues)
12 Lady (Lady and the Tramp)
13 Droopy

Droopy rules. Brian sucks

14 Marmaduke
15 Jake the Dog Jake the Dog is, along with Finn the Human, a fictional character and one of the main cast in the American animated television series Adventure Time created by Pendleton Ward.

Why the heck is he #17. He's one of the funniest cartoon characters of all time!

Jake is just awesome.

Jake is just the best.

16 Tramp (Lady and the Tramp)
17 Underdog Underdog is an American animated television series that debuted October 3, 1964, on the NBC network under the primary sponsorship of General Mills, and continued in syndication until 1973 (although production of new episodes ceased in 1967), for a run of 124 episodes.
18 Muttley (Wacky Race)
19 Astro
20 Spike (Rugrats)

Spike from Rugrats should be number one! I like it when the rugrats rides him like a horse!

21 Charlie B. Barkin
22 Dodger (Oliver & Company)
23 Dog (CatDog)
24 Huckleberry Hound
25 Zoe Trent
