The Top Ten

1 Charlie and the Chocolate Factory - Roald Dahl

There's an early version of the book with a character named Miranda Piker. The early Charlie and the Chocolate Factory had 15 kids. - Ilovestephanie

RIP Roald Dahl

1916 - 1990

Best book ever... Must read...
Awesome narration, and the best part were the funny poems... They rocked
Roald is d best... Nobody can match him in his story endings...

2 Green Eggs and Ham - Dr. Seuss

I love this book

Nobody likes green eggs and ham.

Who doesn't like green eggs and ham, they are awesome

3 The Wonderful Wizard of Oz - L. Frank Baum

I actually read this book five times, and all the other books in the series. I really like Toto.

I kept re-reading this book

This is one of my most favorite picture books.

5 The Chronicles of Narnia - C.S. Lewis

6 The Cat in the Hat - Dr. Seuss

So much better than The American Girls Collection. - welliewishersfan78

Love them - WinchesterGirl26

Good book.

9 Alice's Adventures in Wonderland - Lewis Carroll

The best book so far. Probably became a educational T.V. show during the 90s entitled "Disney's Adventures in Wonderland" which had a adorable Elizabeth Harnois. - welliewishersfan78

10 The Adventures of Captain Underpants - Dav Pilkey

Or how about the whole Captain Underpants franchise? - The Ultimate Daredevil, who thinks that Captain Underpants will get DreamWorks back on its feet

24 Adventure Time - Ryan North
25 The Hobbit - J.R.R. Tolkien
26 Double Fudge - Judy Blume
27 The Giver - Lois Lowry

Love this book BUT NOT FOR KIDS!

Actually, I believe that a kid should be able to read a book once they can understand it. So as soon as they start to understand the words in the book, then they should be allowed to read it. This book projects nothing wrong and if there was, the child would know it. If they don't know that whatever it is is wrong, then they shouldn't be able to even read it yet. - JoMama163

28 Wonder - R.J. Palacio
29 Shark vs. Train - Chris Barton
30 Big Book of Why

As a Scaredy mouse and adventuring mouse

32 Wildwood - Colin Meloy
33 The Adventures of Pinocchio - Carlo Collodi
34 Bad Kitty - Nick Bruel
35 Middle School from Zero to Hero - James Patterson

This sounds like what would happen if Young Hercules from Disney went to middle school...

37 The Foot Book - Dr. Seuss
38 If You Give a Pig a Pancake - Laura Numeroff
