Top 10 Greatest Disco Songs
Gloria Gaynor with this hit is real Disco Diva. And I always think of this style as some different Type of disco.
I will survive will survive for another century. That sing is awesome. Gotta love it.
The best disco song for me. Has been my number 1 for the past 24 years.
A true disco classic hit that will never be forgotten. It's stayin' alive to this day. Fun fact: people play this at hospitals while giving patients with heart issues CPR.
The song that made disco famous...
Regardless whether or not it was in the 70s it's the best disco song.
The first disco song I heard and I loved it from the start.
This song now going on 35 years old, is STILL years ahead of itself! This classic defines excellent club/disco/dance music! The fact that it is performed by The Queen Of Disco, makes "I Feel Love", the obvious winner of this category!
I remember dancing to this at the clubs and the floor would be jam packed. A happier time for many - for sure.
The queen of disco with a monster of a track. A Moroder innovative timeless classic that refuses to age. Number 1 for me!
Just makes you want to shuffle your feet. And original video is over the top!
It's such a feel good and upbeat song, it's hard not to at least tap your feet to it.
My favorite song that is played on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Great song. But ABBA were never a disco band as some annoyingly describe them. They experimented with their sound to mirror the trends of the time but always did it with their distinctive Nordic twist. Upbeat melodies with underlying melancholy.
It's probably their most memorable song! Yes, they were a pop group and this song isn't really disco but still, it's amazing to dance and listen anyway!
Dancing Queen is obviously an amazing song, but at this time Abba weren't producing disco music. Their song that is more close to disco is probably Super Trouper
"Burn baby burn" Ohh... This is so great to dance to, even if you have more left feet than a Lost Property cupboard.
The 12 inch version remind me of the full Discotheque and people dancing. And that is awesome!
The song that (I think) started the whole thing... Ingenious! And long, not to mention.
This was a post-disco Hi NRG song (yet their greatest hit). The sounds were cleverly mimicking raindrops falling. Though disco's a thing in the past since this came out in 1982 & disco was killed after mid 1979. R.I.P. Izora Armstead, a true artist.
As long as gay men like to dance, this song will live on.
Very catchy, makes you want to listen to it forever!
Gotta love the horns and the beat.
I think "I Don't Feel Like Dancin" by the Scissor Sisters definitely deserves it as another post-disco song that needs a lot more recognition, the whole group was like that during the 2000s, emulating disco, glam rock and even yacht rock on some tracks. They were one of my favorite retro revivalist pop groups back in the day. A lot of people give "I Don't Feel Like Dancin" a bit of nitpicking for sounding near-similar to "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" by Leo Sayer, except both songs sound completely different to one another, it sounds more like a Bee Gees/Dr. Hook song, if you ask me. The 70s revival trend was pretty much everywhere in the 2000s music scene, yet very little people talk about it...
The music, the harmony, and the strong "funk" rhythm, all came together to create an unforgettable sound!
It's got an awesome beat! I don't get why more people vote for it! I will survive is ok... but its not as good as Le Freak!
Number 3 best selling disco record of all time!
Funkytown is the best disco song of all-time!
Heart of Glass is the best song I've ever heard. Debbie Harry's voice is that of a siren in this song. This song, and Blondie have had a profound effect on my life. Blondie fans know the true feeling of obsession!
How is this not number one on this list?
Never forget this underrated disco classic. R.I.P. Donna Summer.
An upbeat blues style disco classic. She nailed it.
It was a big hit by Roxy Music, but not disco, but art rock & glam rock.
One of the best songs of all time. Period.
My 2nd favourite disco song after "don't stop til you get enough"!
Underrated classic. Absolutely live for Bernard Edwards' killer bassline on this. And Norma Jean Wright's vocals
That's what we did back then and still do to this disco classic.
Although this had disco elements, it's actually post-disco which came out after disco's demise & replaced it. Disco was killed off in 1979 & this was in 1982.
The beginning of the track is real, real awesome.
Best of the best in Disco music!
It is the best Disco song I've ever heard... Please hear it and then vote for the best.. I know you would Love it. The Queen Madonna Rocks
This song should be a lot higher. This is the perfect disco song.
