An Amazing Guitarist indeed. He won the Dimebag young shredder award. That should say it all. - ShreddingCobra

62 Matthias Jabs

he should be up there on the top number one he's the greatest guitarist ever at least to me you'll be always in my heart

I like matthias jabs licks.. he play the guitar so fast.. I want matthias jabs to be the greatest electric guitarist.. I hope it become truth..

63 George Harrison George Harrison George Harrison was an English guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music and film producer who achieved international fame as the lead guitarist of the Beatles.

He's the best (quick, melodious and sing very good)

Why so low he is the teacher of all this guys

The lead guitarrist of the best band in the history is obviously the best

Come on man!

64 Tom Morello Tom Morello Thomas Morello is an American musician, singer-songwriter and political activist. He is best known for his tenure with the band Rage Against the Machine and then with Audioslave.

This is ridiculous that he is so low on this list, every song he's in, even his solo stuff is just so great! Amazing guitarist, deserves better

What his music is so unbelievably clean he should be in the top 10

Tom merello is awesome. If any one has herd of "Fist full of steel" his beginning guitar solo is th 2nd best one ever his first great solo is "wake up" that's has a great solo plus he is great at scratching almost no one does scratching witch puts him in like 1 place so tom merello is way beet er that's that one guy.

65 Mark Knopfler Mark Knopfler Mark Freuder Knopfler is a British singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer and film score composer.

Why is he 67. That's a joke. Top 10. No top 5

My favorite.

66 Ray Toro Ray Toro Raymond "Ray" Toro is an American musician who served as lead guitarist and backing vocalist of the band My Chemical Romance until their split in 2013.

Some pretty amazing solo's. Great live as well as studio albums

67 Mike Campese

Mike Campese is awesome! He is so versatile and can shred as well. Plus, he is very melodic

68 Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick)

A great guitarist and showman.

69 David The Edge Evans

Should ABSOLUTELY be higher on the list

He requires no introduction.

70 Peter Frampton Peter Frampton
71 C.C. Deville

Why is he 67th? C.C. is great! A great guitarist, yes, but also A really down to earth guy. He's the guitarist that replaced Slash in Poison... I remember Slash saying he was in Poison but he was kicked out/Quit because he didn't fit the "Glam look" but C.C. did! What a cool dude! :D

72 John Fogerty

He is from Creedence Clearwater Revival. Just listen to Up Around The Bend or Bad Moon Rising. The most complete electric guitarist in existence.

73 Marty Friedman Marty Friedman Martin Adam "Marty" Friedman is an American guitarist, known for his tenure as the lead guitarist for heavy metal band Megadeth which spanned nearly the full decade of the 1990s, as well as Cacophony alongside Jason Becker until 1989. Friedman has resided in Tokyo, Japan since 2003, where he has hosted more.

What the hell, even Kurt cobain is higher than him? Marty is better than like 98% of the above

A whole new way of playing guitar. Very very unique.

74 Steve Howe Steve Howe Stephen James "Steve" Howe is an English musician and songwriter. He is best known as the guitarist in the progressive rock group Yes.

Probably the greatest guitarist for the type of yes's music that could ever have played for the band he can play just about everything not many guitarist can claim that

Why he isn't at no. 1 is beyond me. Too many idiots on this site I suspect.

75 Jason Becker Jason Becker Jason Eli Becker (born July 22, 1969) is an American neoclassical metal guitarist and composer. At the age of 16, he became part of the Shrapnel Records-produced duo Cacophony with his friend Marty Friedman. They released the albums Speed Metal Symphony in 1987 and Go Off! in 1988. Cacophony broke up more.

Becker could smoke Malmsteen, Gilbert and Van Halen by the time he was 16. Sadly, he contracted ALS before he even reached 20. - Floods

76 Mick Thompson
77 Neal Schon Neal Schon Neal Joseph Schon is an American rock guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist best known for his work with the bands Journey and Bad English. He is Journey's last original constant member, having participated in every album and tour to date.

Just listen to Journey's guitar solos, they are extraordinary every time. I would definitely put this guy in my top ten.

One of the greatest musicians and guitarists that has ever lived on this planet!
Number 87? Are you kidding me? His melodic intensity, his versatility, his tremendous song writing ability and unique identifiable style should land him in the top ten! PERIOD!

Number 87? How about somewhere in the top ten instead? And my personal favorite of all time! There are just no words to describe this man!
Santana doesn't call him " Vortex " for nothing!
